Extended Stay America - Houston - Katy Frwy -Energy Corridor

Recent guest reviews

The hotel is located in a decent, safe and easily accessible place along the Katy Freeway, Energy Corridor, Houston. It has good and decent facilities for people who plan to stay for a while including in-room cooking gas, microwave oven refrigerators and cooking utensils (if requested for). It is a good place to stay if you have business do along Energy Corridor. However, it is difficult to get around or go to downtown Houston from there without a personal car or taxi, as public transportation is almost non-existent on most of the Energy Corridor axis. The nearest Bus Stop to the hotel is about 15 minutes walk and the buses schedule is almost 1 hr apart outside the peak hours, with very limited options. However, if you do not mind the cost of taxi or Uber, then you are good to go, but note that Houston is a fairly big city.

We booked a hotel room and arrived about an hour later. The hotels front entrance did not work and had a note attached to the door saying to call inside. We called inside and was answered by a rude house keeper who appeared to be the only one at the hotel. She told us that the front desk was closed and there was no one there to check in any guest. I don't understand how a hotels front desk closes.

Room was clean and cool, which was nice for the hot Houston summer. However I never received kitchen wear, even after asking 3 times to 3 different people. On Sunday, there was so much trash in the hallways, you had to navigate around it Monday morning. Trash and cigarette butts surrounded the green pool. Again, a clean comfortable room for the money, and that’s all I needed for the week.

This was not the Ritz Carlton but it was a good place to stay and convenient. I would recommend this site and would stay there again.

The hair dryer was ripped off the bathroom wall: the staff said there is a hair dryer on the bathroom wall. Three days later they came by with a hair dryer. There was something growing around the tub that I didn't want to touch. I asked if there was a room with a better shower and they gave me a room key so that I could inspect another room. There was just as much gunk on the tub surround, so I stayed on the first floor since the out-of-order elevator would have made the slog to the third floor a bit more that I wanted.

My fiance and i needed some place to stay while here for work what turned out to be a quick hotel reservation was the worst mistake ever.the rooms need serious work the fridge was worn and rusty the counters and long blonde hairs everywhere needless to say i was upset. Walking into the bathroom the shower curtain was broken and barely hanging on. When you turned the shower on there was a faint smell of urine and i.could.not take it ive complained to the hotel but nothing was done STAY AWAY.

Small but perfect sized hotel that met our travel needs. Clean, comfortable, and friendly, helpful staff. Was worried at first that traffic sounds from the freeway might be disruptive, but they actually lulled me to sleep.

nice place 4 the price

2nd time in as many months that the hotel I book with [...]has a problem. Last time it was overbooked and I was pushed to a hotel with ladies of the night in the lobby. This time the hot water was out and I was pushed 5 miles away. The room was ok but people ran the halls all night slamming every door in the place. May be time to book myself.
