When we booked the place months ago I had already forgotten what to expect. At check-in, I verified that it was a Club Room with an Ocean view. When we showed up at the room, whatever either of us had as expectations were completely blown out of the water. The room was bright sunny airy spacious and opened right out onto a full private balcony overlooking the Pacific, with the semi-private beach right below us. It was our little bit of heaven away from the craziness of the world for several days. Th ease of getting to the beach, getting beach towels, the wonderful meals at the Lounge as well as the Monkeypod Restaurant, the fantastic cleaning service which always kept us stocked in towels, every staff person at the counter and and the valet service which helped us get a ride back to the airport at the end. The area was safe to walk at night and close by to the main drag which also had shopping, walking, eating opportunities. Everyone was so friendly and so accommodating. Very hard to leave. If there was one thing we would do differently is that we would have rented a car to see more of the island. That said, walking down and going into the ocean every day was super relaxing. The next time we are in Waikiki, this will be the resort we will stay at again. Thank you!

Outrigger Reef was a wonderful place to stay. Great views and all of the staff was friendly and welcoming. It is walking distance to shopping and activities, and the club room option provides a great breakfast and evening appetizers and drinks.

Ideal Hotel In Waikiki

This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel. The location is perfect because it's close to the heart of Waikiki but just far enough off the beaten path to not feel like there's too much hustle going on around the hotel. It's really the perfect world. The room and the views are amazing. If you want to chill at the pool, they have a great one. And I get comped breakfast at Monkeypod Restaurant which has an amazing view of the ocean. I look forward to returning and staying at this hotel again next year!

Room was very clean. Small beachfront, no chairs available, had to pay extra to rent chairs by the hour to a third party next door

Staff were the best I’ve ever experienced. From the front desk to the bar staff at the Grille to the housekeeping staff…everyone was super pleasant and professional. Be sure to stay in the Ocean tower with Ocean view. Breathtaking view!

While this resort is ocean front there is essentially no to little beach as compared to other resorts. Overall the resort is well maintained. Both restaurants are excellent and include live entertainment (certain times of the day). Unless you have a preference for soft beds, this is not the hotel for you as the beds are soft. No daily room cleaning which means garbage pick up and coffee refills are limited (in the room). Not something we were informed of when booking.
