TV didn't work, had to have maintenance man come. Then they got the TV to work, but no should, had to replace the TV box. Tub faucet water would not shut off, no phone in room and even though it was a no smoking room you could smell smoke and the lamp shades were rusted. People running it were very nice, but rooms need improving.
Staff is amazing, friendly and helpful. Offers great continental breakfast. Rooms are nice and clean with everything you need. Property is very well taken care of!!! Great location, great price, would stay here again.
Can tell this is an older building in need of some renovating, very dated carpeting. The room was very roomy though. Was located in an older part of Hobbs, but had no problems.
The initial room that was assigned to me had not been cleaned at around 4 PM. The breakfast was not existent. It was to be open from 6 am to 9 am I went at 7 AM and there was nothing on the counter except coffee I don't drink coffee so there was nothing there for me. Went to store across street to get something. Walls are very thin, could hear other guests talking in next room.
There were no issues, and the rooms were in good care. The staff takes care of the crews I have down there working for me, and when I am there they take care of me also.
Desk clerk was absent upon check-out and did not inform us of breakfast arrangements at check-in.
My wife and I were on our way to Lubbock. We needed to stopover Friday night, then proceed to Lubbock the next day to attend an evening event. Day's End had a good price that did not break our Piggy Bank. Most of the conveniences people use were available such as a television, clothes rack, breakfast room in the morning, etc. The clerks were very helpful as we got lost arriving, and they stuck with us in phone calls until we found the motel.
Good price, Good Room, Good Bed. Helpful font desk attendant. Okay breakfast, not much selection, Juice machine had no juice. Ice Machine Broken. A/C controls not working correctly, Hard to set. Overall, it was a Good Stay.
Hobbs may have other great attributes, but one attribute is that it is a great waystation traveling on a long drive to and from Texas to parts west. Days Inn is reasonably priced (we paid less than $70 including taxes), but comes with comfortable bed and white bedspread (e.g. clean!), very clean bathroom and floor, good sound control, and it's possible to park right outside the door if you don't want to bring in all your bags. It is also right off the main highway going through town--no need to look for it. The breakfast is very basic, but it is right next to (e.g. other side of the parking lot) a very nice "homestyle" cafe if you like real breakfasts. In short, you can do a long drive, find it for a reasonable price, sleep well, and be off immediately for the rest of your drive.
Check in was pleasant enough but she gave me a double room that smelled terribly of smoke. Was switched to the room next door that smelled strongly of disinfectant. As it turns out the odor later turned to one of Cat Pee! It smelled so bad we did not sleep well, that and the road noise, the smokers next door, and the cockroach I stepped on. Oh, the rooms are tiny too!
