Sheila was so calm, kind and down to earth both days! She had to manage the front desk and cook, prepare and manage the breakfast on Christmas Day. There were very few guests, so it went fine. Guests were friendly. We had to stay here on Christmas and we got the suite. So nice to have a sitting room! Chic new sueded leather style sofa. Beautiful new patterned carpets and drapes everywhere. New wall coverings in greys and dark navy looked very up to date. Not easy to be away from family on this special day, but the renovated, upscale modern decor and Sheila's easy manner made it very welcoming and comfortable. She offered water bottles when we checked in. Housekeeping cleaned the room on Christmas Day too! Flat streets and sidewalks to go for a walk to Lowes or Walmart. At check in we received a 10% off restaurant coupon for a number of local places. Never received that before. Used it at Chilis. Fridge and microwave in room and used the laundry on the same floor.
This hotel is your typical Fairfield Inn. Clean room, good bed and ok decor. The breakfast worked. The hotel has very nice and helpful front desk staff! The hotel is by a right by a Walmart and a number of good restaurants including: Chili's, Jimmy John's & Rosa's Tortilla Factory.
We stayed here overnight before heading to Carlsbad Caverns. We had booked at Hampton Inn but their pool was closed. Hampton Inn was very nice and helped us move our reservation to Fairfield Inn. Our stay was very nice. All staff are friendly and helpful, our room was spacious, clean, and very nicely appointed. The tv even had internet tv so we could watch Netflix and hulu. Breakfast was nice and well maintained. The location is pretty central to Hobbs with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. When we come back to Hobbs in the future we will definitely stay here again.
Use caution at this hotel. I took our group here to stay after a trip to Carlsbad Caverns and had 12 rooms, the rooms were clean but could use some renovation. HOWever, when I got home and was reviewing my credit card bill it did not match the receipt I was given. I was charged almost $250 more! When I called, the manager gave me a story about putting a hold for "incidentals" but the money is not in my account, so I don't think that is a "hold" AND this charge/hold was not explained to me at all at our check in. The manager also said "all hotels do this (hold money for incidentals) but I travel for work, and I know for a fact that is not true. Breakfast was standard, staff were friendly BUT watch your method of payment!
I stayed here for a recent business trip. The hotel is located near many restaurants, and is a quick drive downtown. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was standard fare, no complaints. Wifi signal was good. I do wish they had outlets and/or USB plugs next to the bed. All and all this is a very nice hotel, and I would stay here again.
Newer Fairfield, with a spacious lobby, business center, and large breakfast area. Nook in the lobby for a quick meeting. Room was clean and well-done, although a couple more outlets or USB ports would be helpful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was typical. Good choice in Hobbs.
I stayed here once just to try it out. It's an average hotel that seems to be one of the older of the new hotels here. It was acceptably clean, the staff was friendly, and it is easy to get in and out of. The beds were ok, and it had the standard hotel breakfast. With a frac crew staying here, it was noisy when they left, but that is to be expected in an oilfield town.
Stay at many Fairfields and this is among the nicest. Clean, friendly staff, comfortable room. Nice edge of town locations near lots of restaurants, too. I would certainly stay here again. Sheila was particularly helpful.
The room smelled like dip tobacco when i stepped inside. And even though the sheets on the bed were clean, it could not overpower the dip. Why would a "clean" room smell like that? Probably because everything is stained. The curtains, the shower curtain, the wall, the desk, the luggage table and the chair at the desk - stains all over. The shower curtain does not stay in the tub, so water washes out all over the floor. I had the misfortune of dropping some clothing on the floor at the bathroom door and when i picked it up i discovered that the carpet there smelled of old urine. The gym is big, but has nothing to offer. Two treadmills - one of which is not working. They did not refill the water cups my whole stay and there was never any towels available. The staff were always away from the desk and having personal dramas. For breakfast - they seem to think that "creamer" is okay to replace with milk. I am lactose intolerant and this would have messed up my day if i hadn't taken a moment to realize that the creamer was odd looking. It smelled like milk and a small sip proved it was. Dont worry, they also put milk in the milk container, so it wasnt just that they mixed them up - they just dont seem to care that some people can have a very sick and rough day for a careless mistake like that. The pillows were probably the only good thing about the place. And when the personal drama was dealt with, the staff was pretty helpful. Located near food - but the restaurant selection here is pretty bad to begin with. Like the eggs at the hotel (sitting in a lake of water), the food you'll get anywhere else will also come out sopping wet. Just be prepared. I would hope that my company places me in a better hotel the next time i have to come here. This one is pretty bad.
Nice lobby and room. Staff were real nice. Room was a little small compaired to the rooms at its sister hotel Town place which is right next door and quite cheaper. Breakfast was so so. Didnt try the pool or weight room. The room didnt have usb outlets next to the bed like Town Place bummer.
