2 days in Hobart to visit Mona and the Salamanca Market. Hotel is in the perfect location right on the wharf with great facilities, including parking. Staff were helpful, room was clean and perfect for an overnight escape.
Spent 5 nights here in late June on business. Great hotel. Had a room with a harbour view which was fantastic. All staff, but particularly the bar staff, were friendly and very helpful. The only issue were the rooms were a bit noisy from traffic from front of motel (no double glazing). Overall excellent.
Very good for conferences.Beautiful venue. Staff extremely polite and helpful. View of the Mountain from room very nice. Room was very good for a single. Wifi very good. Highly recommended for business. Would like to come back one day for a holiday in Hobart and stay.
This is a good modern hotel. Clean and functional. Not a lot of charm in a city with history and charm but trade off is rooms at the front of the hotel which offer marvellous views over the wharf area and harbour. Locations is excellent for work or tourism. Staff are friendly. And the rooms rates for harbour view rooms can be reasonable. Would certainly stay again.
Facilities were great and suited the amount of delegates for the Australasian Universities Safety Association Conference. I would recommend this venue to anyone who is considering holding a conference in Hobart
Great, friendly staff. Perfect spot for a perfect experience. Will absolutely be back. Well priced, spacious, clean, modern with delightful showers. Highly recommend for anyone looking to close to all Hobart has to offer!
We were attending the Whisky Live event at this hotel so we decided to stay the night as well. It was perfectly comfortable and clean at a fair price. As a bonus it also has stunning views of the waterfront from all floors. We didn't eat there but had drinks in the lobby area, which was a very pleasant place to while away a couple of hours. Happy customers.
I have stayed here numerous times and it's convenience to Salamanca and Constitution Dock Waterfront precinct is fabulous. 10min walk to Salamanca and numerous restaurants and bars in between. The hotel is modern and very comfortable and not too expensive. In house restaurant is lovely.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Chancellor. It made exploring Hobart on foot easy, and every morning rewarded us with a view out over the harbour that was photo op ready. The bar was very pleasant with the barman ready to advise on local beers (and more potent drinks). Breakfast was expansive with multilple choices and a very attentive staff - and the same harbour view. The room numbering is a bit eccentric - there are no floors between 1 and 10 - but the rooms are very modern and everything one could want was provided. A non-functioning hair dryer was replaced in minutes after a call to the desk. Our rooms didn't have much of a view - we were low and at the back - but since we didn't spend a lot of time gazing that way, it was fine (and quiet). The valet parking system was very efficient as were the porters, who got us a taxi and managed our numerous bags with elan. We'd go back again with pleasure.
On a quick trip to the capital of the Apple Isle, the Hotel Grand Chancellor is the perfect accommodation option. Great views, friendly staff and an excellent position to access the city attractions. You won't go wrong staying here.
