I booked one night with intention to add another two nights if I like property. I was attempting trade show and this location was only 2 min walk from the exhibition center. As I was landing in Ho Chi Minh after 36 hours traveling I got messages from management that they sold out rooms and I will be transferred to a different hotel that is 30 min drive from exhibition center. Property was in a horrible location and and very inconvenient. It is happens a lot in Vietnam when property after booking moving you in location that they can sell. Situation wasn’t in my favor. I was explained if I refused to relocate I won’t have room and if I cancel my reservation I won’t get money back as property non refundable. After going back and forth with Expedia eventually I was offered by Expedia a full refund and $25 credit on my Account for inconvenience ( honestly those $25 felt like slap in the face) property stopped communication with me when I asked for refund. Funny part that when I went back to book a new hotel - this property was showing available rooms. I hope Expedia will look closely at this property and will remove they listing from they website to avoid future scams. Sorry but I can’t call this differently. It was a scam. I travel for business internationally a lot and never experienced anything like that before.
