The Tremont House, Galveston, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

4/5 Good

"This was a very nice hotel it was clean and well maintained but attention to detail is lacking. Coming through the front doors is a set of stairs to the front desk, there is probably an elevator but it isn’t clear marked where to go so ended up dragging two suitcases up a flight of stairs. Valet parking was frustrating we had to go back twice to see if we’re properly checked in, turns out the we weren’t which caused confusion in the morning getting the car, the front desk Let them know we were leaving but they never went and got the car until I asked again 20mins after the original time. The room setup was awkward with the tv off to the side from the bed partially blocked by a wall. But it easily would have fit on the wall in front of the bed. The hot water needed to be run for over 20mins in the morning to get it anywhere close to beyond luck warm. Simple fixes could make a good hotel great"
