Checking was good, room and bathroom omg dirty. Property beautiful but hotel came across as dirty. Valet chaotic, left luggage in trunk we had to get it ourselves.

They didn't have a shuttle available as stated but it was Easter and the we're busy with Easter brunch traffic

We enjoyed our stay very much. There was easy access to everything locally. The pool and hot were very good. The hotel staff were accommodating and very nice. Tahinis.

Nicely refurbished. A most pleasant experience. I would highly recommend this place.

Staff has been very friendly with good drinks and good food. I love the room and the fact this is an old hotel with a history so thee are wonderful bits of that past about

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff with hisorislcal personality. Restaurant was food but menu is smaller and pricy. Would come again.

They get a small pass due to poor weather, but,: 1. check-in agent was very unfriendly. 2. Our room did not get cleaned. 3. I was assigned a handicapped room (despite hotel being almost empty), so shower setup was not to level of a Wyndham. 4. There was a noisy/leaking vending machine which was unpleasant to hear through the door all night. 5. Bell staff was unfriendly, and, had to be asked to get out of the way so I could get out the door, as they were too busy talking to open the door or return a “good morning” greeting.

The return shuttle from the cruise port to hotel took longer than expected (overall wait time outside For shuttle was 40minutes, and I even called ahead of time when we were departing cruise ship to notify them and to be sure there was a shuttle available)

I know the hotel was built 100 years ago but the rooms could use some updating. Parts look really dirty and run down. The front and lobby are beautiful though. The shower in our room wouldn’t drain properly either. The staff were great and friendly everywhere except the breakfast staff. I would stay here again but prefer the San Luis.

Living in Houston, Galveston is our stay vacation getaway. The Hotel Galvez gives us more of an escape. Great hotel and awesome staff.

Everything about the Galvez is excellent, especially the Spa, swimming pool, fitness center, and valet service. But if you are booking a room with a full ocean view, be sure to ask if it is a corner room because although it is advertised as full ocean view, it is not, and you will need to relocate after check in.

We took our nieces from Chicago to Galveston for a few days Decided to stay at the Galvez. We all enjoyed the hotel. The pool area was especially relaxing with a swim up bar. The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Very small bathrooms and pets everywhere. Excellent pool. This was a very expensive stay so I expected perfection, which was not the case.

It definitely has its charm being over 100 years old. But the accommodations were anywhere but comfortable. Small tight rooms and a tight bathroom. Double beds were so small. Family of four was packed in the room. Poll was not kid friendly either. Stayed on the 4 th floor heard foot step of a person running across the hall But again could of been housekeeping

My husband and I stayed there in a recent trip . We enjoyed our stay and the staff was very professional and pleasant. The only thing was the two weddings going on made it feel chaotic in the lobby, but certainly a beautiful place to get married.

Hotel felt like a resort. Very clean and well maintained. Restaurant food was delicious. Hotel had complementary bikes. Very friendly staff.

Best vacation we ever had, partly due to this amazing hotel and the terrific staff. I wish I could remember everyone's names: Jasmine in housekeeping kept our room spotless and supplied; Danielle, Keisha, and Lois provided lubricants and conversation at the bar; the front desk and the valet could answer any question...all of them with a smile. I'll be back.

We arrived 2 hours early for our reservation. We were greeted and offered to have our luggage stored while we either accessed the pool or went sight seeing. We opted to keep our luggage in the car and go ahead and park in the parking across the street - very close. We did get a call at 3:00 or so that our room was ready, so we were able to get in a little early. We were thankful.

The hotel was just beautiful.. very historic but updated. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The pier is within walking distance of the hotel. Unfortunately they were doing construction on the part of the beach that was Infront of the hotel but over all great experience. The pool and hottub were very nice after a long day of sight seeing.

We stayed in a handicap suite. The sofa was so broken down that it was difficult to sit on much less try to get up from it. Needs to be replaced! Horrible.
