It was very warm in the room, and we had to open the window at night to get to sleep. It's also not convenient to get to in the Island. That being said, it was a good experience, I wished I could've had dinner there.

What a great ryokan experience! Definitely a highlight of our trip. This was our introduction to an onsen and it was perfect. The meals are a must! The food is so fresh and delicious. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend the Grand Hotel Arimoto and would come again.

We stayed in the room with the open air bath and it was a beautiful room. The open air bath was worth it with a view of the famous gate. The staff was amazing and so respectful. The location was close to the shrine and shops and not far from the rope pull to go to top of mountain. Highly recommend this hotel!

The room was spotless and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful stay. What impressed us most was their exceptional personalized service. Due to our private itinerary, we needed to catch an early ferry at 6:40 AM. Although the hotel’s standard shuttle service starts at 7:00 AM, they specially arranged a private transfer at 6:20 AM to get us to the pier on time. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. If we visit Miyajima again, we will definitely choose this hotel to try out different room types.

Good access to amenities. As English tourists disappointed that we were not allowed to have breakfast or evening meal in the hotel restaurant .we were told that the hotel was fully booked and could not cater for all the residents. Very expensive for what was on offer

Great location, lovely staff and so helpful. We had a Japanese room and after Tokyo and Osaka it was HUGE ! An amazing experience best sleep we have had. We didnt book meals but probably should of booked dinner as that was stressful! Gift shop on site with great items. One night wasnt enough !
