One, this hotel is on the out skirts of town. Had I realized, I wouldn't have have booked it. Second, the internet was almost NON EXISTENT! I called the front desk and they said that it was just like that when there were a lot of guests. We specifically chose places that had wifi because we were traveling internationally and could only use our phones of WIFI. They claimed to have WIFI but we had to go up to road to Tim Horton's to use WIFI. Also, the walls are paper thin. People running up and down the hallways, you can hear it PERFECTLY. We were on the ground floor. When the upstairs used the shower or the bath, it sounded like the pipes were going to explode. One of the LARGEST problems was this - THE DOORS WERE OPEN AT ALL TIMES!!!! The NIGHT we arrived, the back door that was only supposed to be able to be accessed by KEY was propped open by a rock. I told the front desk and they were fine with it. Saying it was "the crew". Who the hell is the crew and why were they propping ope the door WITH A ROCK jeopardizing the safety of all the customers at Day Inn? I WILL NEVER stay at that location again. Days Inn really let me down big time. Do not stay here if you want security and wifi.
Excellent experience. We booked initially for 2 people. Later on a close friend joined the trip. However, we were not able to modify the booking. When all 3 people showed up, the front desk was very helpful in finding a foldable bed for us for very happy. Thanks,
Since Jasper was sold out we decided to stay in Hinton and travel to and from Jasper national park. Good desk service and rooms were clean. Wifi reverted was very good, but the best part was the breakfast. Small omelets, non greasy flat sausages and great coffee.
After a whole day of travel and sightseeing through the rockies from Edmonton to Jasper, Checking in at Days Inn Hotel was a welcoming treat. I found our room.very clean and the beds were well made. We had a good sleep. If only the internet access was fast I would rate our stay as more than satisfactory.
This place is inexpensive, the one problem I have is that I was traveling with my father so I booked a 2 Queen bed room, when I went to check into the hotel they moved me to a 1 Queen bed room. I ended up having to argue to get back into a 2 Queen bed room. The needs were hard and the free breakfast is very lacking. Hotels should not change the bed configuration unless they talk to you first. They don't know if there was a reason or not, and then they make it seem like they are doing your a favor putting you back into the room you originally booked, very unimpressed
We booked 2 rooms in this hotel for a family trip via hotels.com two months prior the trip. When we came, we were told that they were overbooked and we were told to just find another hotel in the vicinity. We were also told that they prioritize direct bookings over online bookings and online bookings are out of their control. Our vacation is turning out a nightmare due to whoever's fault and nobody offered assistance for a resolution. They had our money refunded and that was enough for them. so disappointed. Staff was so apathetic when sending us away to find another hotel.
This place was ok, clean, but breakfast was not good. They had only one person managing the front desk and restocking the breakfast food. During the busy breakfast time the items served were done and nobody to refill until you go and request the front desk person. Even though the breakfast time is from 6-10, the person put away everything by 9:45. The breakfast items served were stored in freezer and got it to the breakfast bar. We need to defrost the items.
Reception staff basically paycheque players Breakfast included is a joke ...no fresh food.but have to microwave out of fridge Air condition unit is very loud ...bad sleeps 2 nights Washroom fan is very loud Paint drips appears on washroom counters Traffic in front of hotel road jammed with construction trucks
Great hotel for splitting a journey from Edmonton to Jasper and the Rockies. Comfy bed, small selection for breakfast. OK for a one night accommodation.
Clean, quiet and friendly staff. Would certainly stay again. This was business travel with picker truck so chose this location for parking and slightly out of town center.
