We are so happy that we booked our stay in the Black Hills at Mountain View Lodge and Cabins. The owners are very hospitable and really make you feel at home personally and with the amenities they offer. The hotel is centrally located for many of the attractions. The grill was great to use and have a homemade meal after being on the road for a week. If we make it back to this area we will definitely stay here again.

I really like the location of the property, down the street from Hill city so a little bit out of the congestion. We felt very safe and never had to worry about parking. Nice patio area to hang out on or even cook on the grill. Rooms were basic but very clean and comfy beds. Owners were very sweet and helpful with questions. Light breakfast was perfect, fresh and enough to get you going. Also, a little family run ice creme/ burgers type place across to street that you can walk to. Great location to hit all the spots in your list.

Wonderful, welcoming lodge owners. Very comfortable, and nicely decorated room. Great location for visiting Black Hills, Custer State Park, and all the best sights. The owners helped us with directions and restaurants. A bit of road noise, but the conversations made you forget it. They are improving the lodge & cabins every year.

My family and I enjoyed our stay here. It was perfect for us (5 adults) it was close to the areas we wanted to visit. The beds were so comfortable and the owners had the room ready and warmed up for us, so when we arrived we were able to sleep comfortably. Loved the options for grilling or pizza oven. They also had a very nice deck with plenty of seating and fire pits. We will definitely keep this place as one of our top options when visiting SD again!
