Nice hotel, stuff was very friendly! Rooms look little bit old but clean! breakfast was very nice. Bus and metro station is near hotel so you can go city center easy. Bed was nice and you can change pillow if that feel too soft or hard.
We were around 20 people, the service was slow and confusing as the drinks came just before the pre-ordered food and bread came even afterwards. Many of the desserts were not available. Food was average level but quite expensive.
In the heart of the city, very close to the train station and right next to the busy robust high street. Lots of places to eat and shop. The hotel is very clean and tidy as all other Holiday Inn I have stayed in. The building is very modern and has very good Wi-Fi across the hotel. We missed the breakfast so cant comment on that. The beds were very comfy and room had complimentary water and tea, coffee etc. We stayed here for couple of nights and enjoyed our stay. Our bathroom was disable friendly and I have noticed in my last couple of stays, a lot of the rooms seems to be designed to suit those with disability. I personally didn’t have any problem, but my friend did as he didn’t like the high toilet and the all the assisting bars.
We got to the hotel early. 06:45 early (check in is from 15:00). No room was vacant so the manager offered us some complimentary tea and coffee, then promised to provide us the first room to be cleaned. We left our bags in the luggage room and went to eat something, 9:00 a room was already waiting for us. Great comfy bed, spotless room, great breakfast, excellent service.
Holiday Inn West is very, very nice. Staff were great, good food, and the rooms are excellent. They're modern, clean, and plenty of space. Traveling with a choral group, unanimous agreement that this was the best hotel on our tour.
Very helpful and friendly staff. It was a 25 mins walk from the station. Only availability for us at the time, but the best views are the double room side, we had a twin which was lovely and sunny but not such a great view. Room itself was fine. Holiday Inn has two bikes to borrow which we really enjoyed exploring Helsinki. Easy to cycle on the cycle paths and meant we could trial run the walk to the west terminal. Breakfast was lovely. Didn’t have time to try the sauna or gym. A good choice and cheaper than staying in the heart of Helsinki. Thank you for a good stay - happy to recommend. Would have given 5 stars but they HI mattresses are those thin futon types so not a great sleep if you like a firm mattress.
Great, modern hotel with everything you would expect from Holiday Inn. Rooms are standard size and bathroom has rainfall shower. There's a shopping center down the street with some cafes and a grocery store too, which is convenient. Didn't try the restaurant. The only downside is it's far from the city center. The walk to the tram station is long, especially at night.
Stayed there from 21 Sept to 24 Sept. Nice, clean, easily accessible and comfortable room. Polite and helpful front desk staff. Breakfast was generally common but nice ambience. One minus point, room has an odd smell not sure due to the wet carpet. Was upgraded to an executive room. Overall, an ideal hotel for your consideration.
Nice Hotel, quite well localized. Higher levels have a lot better views (from 5-6th flor) but due to small amount of elevators You may face some problems driving down for breakfast. Other than that everything is fine.
Great sleep quality bed linen very nice, bathroom small barely room for two people to be in, room clean, lifts very slow, location you need to go on underground to get to town, about 10 minutes walk from hotel, service restaurant slow, bar very expensive but then it is Helsinki,
