Hotel is very dated. Our room was okay, towels were a bit grey and small. We just needed somewhere to spend the night so it did the job. Some strange characters hang around in the lobby, not sure if they were there since it was a salon in the hotel.
An aging building which is over due for a renovation. a few more years and it will be retro Americana. The staff was friendly and helpful but the place is just tired.
This is an older hotel, but the rooms are clean, the people are nice and the rates are better than most in area. This is a much better Howard Johnson's than the one in Billings that rents Mirco rooms that are as large as a walk-in closet and they charge higher rates. I stay at this hotel every time I'm in town and have always been satisfied.
The staff, and I met most of them over two days, was awesome. The lobby and common areas are very nice and clean. My ground floor room was clean but this older facility needs a bit of upgrading. Bed was comfortable enough but the lighting is poor. My door opened to the outside parking lot level which was good for me being on a motorcycle, but I could see some daylight around the door. It is close to the hospital and a good restaurant and that was whatbI needed as my riding partner had been injured and admitted to the hospital. Not bad for an older facility and Inwould stay there again as the price was fair.
Great service the staff were incredible The pool is nice and clean the rooms were very clean with the hairdryer the only problem we had with the Internet the Wi-Fi was not strong in the room with a little dark as there is no overhead lighting I would definitely refer this hotel to my friends and family
This older motel is convenient to the highway, clean, and well maintained. For my purposes, it was quite adequate. Nothing fancy, just a good place to sleep.
Lobby very nicely decorated. Room very spacious. The beds were very uncomfortable, and the pillows were flat. Neither of us had a decent rest. Would not stay there again. Will never recommend this property
Elevator was nice to have. Gracious check-in, Wifi, a decent breakfast bar. Easy on and off the freeway. Several good restaurants in the area.
This stay was awful. First the young woman I talked to about changing my reservation at the hotel told me to cancel it on Bookings.com so I did and got to pay for that anyways. Then she told me the suite I booked would sleep 3 teenagers and 2 adults. Wrong again as neither the couch or loveseat was a hid-a-way so got to spend $15 more a night for a rollaway. Then we get back to the hotel after 14 hours at a tournament to find the housekeeper had not even taken the trash out of the room or refreshed towel, etc, but they turned off the A/C on a 90+ day. Great way to end the day. Asked to speak to a manager the next morning and was told she would be there any minute after 15 had to leave to get the girls to their game on time. The desk clerk knew my problems but to date no call or email. Won't stay there again and will tell our teammates about our experiences.
The Howard Johnson (Helena, MT) is in desperate need of renovation. Our room wasn't overly clean. We stayed 2 nights--after the 1st night, all that the housekeeper did was (kind of) pull up the blankets (bed wasn't actually made) and switched out the towels. I never could get the wi-fi to work. The front desk staff was very nice, though. That was the only highlight! I expected more from a Howard Johnson facility.
