Very bright and lovely hotel. Room was very comfortable. Restuarant for dinner and the breakfast were very nice. Service was outstanding.

Just delightful. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! The inn keeper was Uber friendly and nice.

Room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. We did not eat at restaurant but I heard it was very good. Staff was very professional and friendly. Highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with tons of character, history and its excellent decor. Also walkable too many conveniences.

This is my second stay at the 1820 House in Simbsbury. I can't say enough about it. I LOVE the house and the staff is wonderful. The Innkeeper, Pam, goes over and above for everyone. She is so personable and friendly as is her staff. The historic house is fantastic! I will stay here every time I am in the area.

This place was fantastic and I WILL stay again next time I am in Simsbury, CT. It is rich with history and genuine to that history. The staff were great and made me breakfast even though I missed the deadline. It is close to everything in town and has very easy wifi access. The room was large and clean and comfortable with a beautiful bed and a great TV. Simsbury Inn is also great but less authentic and, at times, more expensive and further from town (out of walking distance). Huge fan of the 1820 house -- a rare discovery.

I stayed overnight here for a wedding in the fall. The hotel was beautiful and very charming, the room was clean and quiet, and the staff was friendly.Breakfast in the morning was basic, but was enough! It wasn't the closest in terms of distance to the venue but it was worth the stay for the affordable price!

My stay was for business travel...combined with visiting friends in the area. Very pretty and comfortable inn...with a great restaurant! The owners are doing a great job to make this a place that people enjoy, are comfortable and want to come back too!

A luxury stay inside the city. Simply beautiful. The hotel staff was excellent and 24x7 tea coffee arrangement was great. We enjoyed it a lot.

The hotel was nice, the staff friendly, the room basic, good location, I expected more from the breakfast. Atleast it was quiet which is all I was really looking for.

Needs a complete overhaul! Even the sheets were torn! Couldn't walk barefoot on the carpet. It was gross. Would have left early but it was prepaid. Think about that when using a travel discount site again! Not even a bottle of water in the room. Breakfast was awful!

This was our second stay at the Simsbury 1820 House which could be listed as “a very charming bed and breakfast in the center of a lovely town.” We received a very warm welcome. Since the desk does not remain open overnight, we were given a key to the house so we could return as late as we wanted. We happened to stay in the same lovely room as the last time (very comfy bed). Because of its location on Hopmeadow (the town’s main thoroughfare) you can walk to restaurants and other amenities--the library is next door! While one would expect lower rates in a small town, location and charm justifies a slightly high price. We received a warm farewell when we departed after breakfast. We will be back!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this charming historic inn. The house and grounds were impeccably maintained and the innkeeper was warm and friendly. The size of the room and beauty of the furnishings (four poster beds, antiques, sofa) made this hotel an excellent value for the price. Its location is ideal if you want a nice quiet getaway but with amenities close at hand. The inn is within walking distance of quaint eateries, coffee shops, grocery store and pharmacy; several state parks are located nearby; upscale shopping within 20 min.; and Bradley International airport is a twenty minute drive. The town of Simsbury is small and full of old New England. There are several historic points of interest that one can enjoy during a short stroll through the town.

Our room was in a seperate building from the main hotel. The building was a little run down, but the room was large, great bed, and good air conditioning. They have wonderful facilities for events, receptions, etc. in the main building.
