Room is big and spacious, definitely comfortable to stay in. Bathroom does not have a bath tub. Bed is comfy too. Some of my friends feel room is a bit dim but I feel it is fine. Gym facilities are ok. Lobby is big and grand. Around 30 min taxi ride to West Lake
Nice breakfasts, comfortable rooms, good room service, pool and gym area, though a bit old there. In general good value for money, don't expect anything fancy, but all in all quite good. Be prepared to leave quite a big deposit, especially in case you didn't pay for the room beforehand
Hotel is located near to restaurants and industrial park. Room is clean and spacious. Even though I had reserved my rooms earlier, there seems to be some miscommunication and caused the booking to be cancelled. Staffs at front desk was very helpful and resolved the matter for me. There's a nice live band that plays at the lobby lounge, very nice to chill and relax for the evening. I had a good stay and will be returning again.
I had great expectations from this hotel. I am a Starwood SPG Member, and have stayed at Starwood properties in many locations, but have never had an experience like this. I asked to be far from the elevator, I was right beside it, and it would seem that local Chinese do not know how to walk in hotel hallways in silence for fear of disturbing someone. Also, it would appear that smoking is allowed anywhere in the hotel, even with all of the No SMOKING signs posted all over the place, because the horrid stench of cigarette smoke seeped into the room from under the doors and hallways. The room itself was comfortable enough, adequate size. Very cozy bed and comfortable. Room service breakfast, half of the items were not delivered, it was very very small portions. It was good I had ordered a continental breakfast in addition to the eggs, because all that arrived was the coffee, the pastries and a very small portion of eggs. I asked for a car to be ordered the night before because I had an early train, I was told it would be no problem, but when I arrived in the lobby, I was told there was no taxi, because it was a busy time. They then tried to order a taxi for me, and it finally came just in time for me to get to the train station. Overall, the service in this hotel needs to be stepped up a lot if they are going to bear the name of a Four Points by Sheraton. If given opportunity to stay here again, I would not, as it's certainly not worth the price.
The hotel rooms are huge. Service is acceptable and the view is not fantastic. Breakfast spread is good and have many choices. Taste is good. I tried the dinner at the hotel and their local Hangzhou specialty is good taste. I would say it is one of the better hotel in this area. There is a convenient store and a Macdonald beside the hotel.
The rooms are spacious and the hotel is in a good condition. The staff are friendly. I was met by the Guest Relations Officer (Shadow), who was very friendly and made me feel welcome in this hotel. Since it was the Chinese New Year, I got a small gift from him and a voucher for a soft drink, which were symbolic but a nice gesture. The hotel has shuttle buses, one if you are there on business, which takes you to different companies, and another one for sightseeing on weekends. Breakfast was OK. The pool is really huge and nice, so go there for a swim. It is located in Building 2, and can be accessed through the 4th floor. Nice experience overall.
Accommodations are nice, very clean, quiet but not much around the surrounding area. There is a McDonalds nearby within walking distance. The concierge and front desk speak very limited English, be prepared with google translate app. Also have cash available, you will need it for taxi rides and to get around. There is an ATM located across the complex plaza area but none within the hotel premises. The breakfast buffet was decent in the morning just basics there's coffee, cereal, eggs, juices and other bakery assortments. There's also a noodle soup option if you request it. The elevator bank is secure, you should have ID and hotel key available for security to check prior to access. WiFi is average to slow but good enough to do emails and some google searches. Overall this was an ok hotel for use during business visits.
Basic four stars hotel catering to mainly business travellers. The rooms are a little worn out but overall very clean. The ironing board/iron in the room was a nice touch since most are there for business. Wifi is on-off....but still bearable. The roooms are spacious and beds very comfortable. The only main problem was the heating in room. It was too warm and stuffy (it was about 10c outside but really the insulation was quite ok). You cant turn it to air con mode too as they had it centrally controlled. In the end, you have to request for a fan, or open the window to let the cool air in. Even that, the cool air could only come in a bit as the gap in the window is quite small and covered by the curtain - unless you want to pull the curtain totally open when you are in the room. Breakfast was great - a lot of varieties, International options too. A convenience store and mac/mac cafe is just in front of the hotel if you need to get some food/drinks.
I stayed for one night while on a business trip in China and had some unfortunate issues that made my stay rather unpleasant. The first was that I couldn't control the temperature of my room - it kept heating up throughout the night and I was unable to turn it down. Perhaps the rooms are all controlled centrally, but I woke up many times from overheating. Secondly, I woke up early to try and use their fitness center - located across an indoor bridge in an adjacent building. When I went down a little after 6am, the bridge was pitch dark with no lights on, and the building in which the fitness center was housed was also pitch black. This eerie set-up made me feel uncomfortable (a dark hallway leading to a dark and silent building?!) so I ended up working out in my room instead. Lastly, I was frustrated that when I went to breakfast, the hostess did not bother to seat me at a table - she just told me to go in. This normally wouldn't have been an issue, but there happened to be a very large group of people here for some conference or something else that all happened to be at breakfast the same time as me. It took me ages to find a table as there were areas that were sectioned off, tables with tons of plates on them, and it made my breakfast experience very stressful. I am an SPG member and was disappointed in the lack of service and amenities that Sheraton Four Points in Hangzhou provided. I understand that they might have been one-offs, but I hope that these issues are not problems for other travelers in the future.
All too brief a stay, just one night, however was really impressed. Great location for business. Grand entry and reception area with many breakout areas with lounges and seating areas for meeting with colleagues or clients. Rooms are of a grand scale and extremely well appointed for this level of hotel. And the outlook over the mountains and lake is superb. No wonder they call this heaven on earth. Will more than happily stay here again on my next trip.
