Room was fine, beds comfortable. No maid service on one of the days of our stay. Continental breakfast was served in the hallway because the restaurant was closed 3 of the four days I stayed, although you could at least go in and sit at the restaurant tables. Plates and cutlery were plastic like for a picnic, which was not what I was expecting.
It was good and we were very comfortable. However the breakfast policy was not clear. There were four of us - 2 + 2 children. They said that the breakfast was free for two only. On some days they waived the charge for additional two and on other days, they charged for additional two.
hidden fees had to pay nine dollars a day to park it said free breakfast but that was only for two had to pay twelve dollars a day for child to eat breakfast it said microwave no microwave it said refridgerator on request requested fridge told us none available only one ice machine for eight floors
I payed for free parking...the complimentary breakfast sucks...
Nice hotel located in the heart of downtown Hamilton. A bit overpriced for the quality of the hotel but I associate the high price to hotel's brand.
Very good hotel good location ! Close to the train which can take you to Toronto !!
Expected more from a Crowne Plaza. Hotel was not in a great area. Little dining options for a downtown location. Hallways were dirty. Staff kept trying to put me in a smaller room with one bed despite reserving two double beds. No refrigerators in the room.
Terrible noise from kids and inebriated people. Kids were playing hockey in the hall while a group of the parents/chaperones were bunched in a room drinking. When I called the front desk they assured me they would investigate. 75 minutes and much noise later I called to the front desk and asked to be moved. The front desk told me to come down to the front desk to make arrangements. I refused and told them to bring the arrangements to me. After we packed up and left the room the hallways were blocked by hockey nets. I do not believe the staff investigated or if they did the ignored the obvious hazards of blocking the hallways. If there would have been a fire our egress would have been blocked. Once we were moved to a new room the noise from the kids was abated but the plumbing was noisy. Even if you don't mind hockey in the halls I would not recommend this hotel because of the safety issue.
No fridge in room. Not sure why we where assigned a room next to the elevator while the hotel was clearly not full. Despite being next to elevator there was little noise.
Would visit again. Unfortunately no green space nearby but ok for one night.
