When you visit Halifax, stay in nearby Dartmouth at Windmill Walk. You will enjoy a quiet neighborhood and a 10-minute walk to the ferry that crosses the harbor to downtown Halifax and the waterfront. Our second floor spacious apartment has large west and north windows. A small private deck is off the bedroom. This 1920s-era building is in great condition. Andy, our host who lives in the building, met us when we arrived and gave us a detailed orientation. He made us feel very welcome.

The location was good, walkable to the Ferry terminal, the sports complex and the 320 bus stop to the airport was just a block away, only $3.00. There wasn’t central air but the bedroom had a large mobile air conditioner and multiple fans in the unit, so sleeping was comfortable.

Mainly a good option.

The apartment was very well equipped but no instructions as to how to use appliances that we could find. My first task upon arrival was to clean the fridge and freezer and generally clean around the kitchen area. The microwave was very large and efficient. The apartment was well situated for the things we wanted to do.

The place had everything we needed for our three night stay. Especially liked how close it was to the ferry terminal to get to Halifax (10 minute walk). Bed was comfortable and the place was private. Good communication with the host. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Apartment

The apartment is fantastic. It is very spacious with high ceilings, a small kitchen, sitting room and large separate bedroom. So much nicer than a standard hotel room. The host was helpful and efficient in introducing himself and providing instructions on how to gain entrance. The amenities were top notch. Would highly recommend this unit, especially to any who wants to be able to spread out and prepare their own food.
