We were very pleased with our stay at Sleep Inn in Clear Spring. Three of the four of us are biking, and this was the only hotel in the general area, so we're happy it was great. The service was fabulous. Lisa (afternoon clerk) was wonderful in helping us to store bikes not in our room, put our freezer packs in their freezer, answer many questions, all with a great, totally helpful attitude. The night clerk (Heather) and morning clerk (Jackie) were equally helpful. 5 star service for sure. The beds were adequately comfortable, room was very clean, breakfast had more variety than most (eggs, sausage plus the normal continental breakfast fare). An excellent value for the price.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoy traveling by car, possibly a dying way to see the USA, but we keep hitting the road every opportunity. Have stayed at Sleep Inn's more than any other Hotel, and so far the quality is consistent, and therefore we intend to continue to stop in every chance we get. Due to hurricane Irma, we are heading N in the morning, and will give Sleep Inn the first look along the way. Thank You!
I am giving this hotel high marks for its value as a budget motel. Our stay was a stop-over on our way to Kentucky. The room was very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. The bathroom was very spacious with a rather large walk-in stall shower. Although we didn't have time t use it, the indoor pool looked very clean and inviting. The continental breakfast is beyond your motel standard with an array of cereals, waffles, yogurts, fruit, etc. If you are looking for quick eats - there is a McDonalds next door.
Loved the location for launching to activities in Hagerstown for a good price. The hotel had nice amenities and all of the common areas looked nice and comfortable. Notice at front desk states that the hotel is being renovated. Stayed on the 1st floor (room 109) and the bed seemed hard to me. My daughter thought it was comfortable, so it just depends on each person. The free breakfast included make your own waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, several juice options, etc. Had some problems with the door lock to be able to eat on the patio. We used the pool & it had a comfortable water temperature but was very cloudy. Also used the hot tub & the timer did not seem to work. They must have recently had an exterminator in as there were several dead bugs in the pool area. Staff was friendly. Clear Spring is a small, quaint town, near White Tail Ski Area & Hancock & Hagerstown, MD. Great launch pad for a decent price. Would stay here again for similar price.
This is a mixed review, good and bad. Good... comfortable clean beds, nice towels, clean bathroom, friendly staff, acceptable breakfast. Bad..., shabby , worn carpet, a chair that could have used a shampoo. Staff said they were remodeling starting on third floor. So in the future, things could be better for guests.
This Sleep Inn represents the best of Choice Hotels! It was the quietest room...as one would expect when stopping from travels. It was clean. Service was good.... We recently experienced the opposite from a Choice Hotel in WI...good to see both sides!
Good service. Decent decor. Dirty in three ways: 1. Multiple stains on room furniture (chair, stool). It was pretty bad...like no one has even attempted to clean it in about 10 years. 2. We paid for a roll-away bed. It didn't appear too bad, but it must have been full of dust and dust mites because my son (who slept on it) coughed and sneezed all night (with no similar symptoms either before or after sleeping on that bed). 3. There was a dead cockroach on the bathroom floor. Breakfast was exactly what you would expect. Not a terrible experience, but if we were traveling through the area again we would look for a different place to sleep.
We were on hour 12 of a road trip when we went to Priceline to book a room. We chose a hotel with a really good rating and the price was only $56. We were amazed at the price. The room was nice and spacious for our family of 4. We got two Queen beds, free breakfast and swimming pool and fitness room were good too. We were able to walk across the street for some good food (Al's Pizza & Convenience).
The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. Just wish I'd brought my bathing suit as they had a nice indoor pool and spa. Typical hotel breakfast. My grandson also enjoyed his stay. There is a diner in town that was great too. Not bad for a very small town.
Remember to look for the McDonald's when staying at this hotel. There are only a few commercial establishments off this exit and it is easy to drive by and miss. Our stay was great and the place is clean and qiet so we got a great nights sleep on the way to our destination.
