We had a day and a half in Guayaquil following a trip to the Galapagos, and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and the city. The hotel was beautiful, great bedroom with river views, excellent bathroom and fabulous location. The public areas were very pleasant. We had a lovely evening eating outdoors, overlooking the river and the beginning of the Malecon 2000, followed by a lavish breakfast the next day. The staff in all areas were very good, attentive, helpful and enthusiastic. The airport transfer service worked perfectly, and was appreciated. We only ended up in Guayaquil due to the Galapagos transit, but now having been there we are very glad we did, and highly recommend the Wyndham - I would have been happy to relax there for a bit longer!
We stayed for 4 nights recently at this hotel, which is located on the banks of the Guayas river in Guayaquil. The The room are clean, modern, and comfortable with excellent views of the river. Adjacent to the hotel is Malecon 2000, the riverfront development that extends about 4 km., with many restaurants, shops and attractions. The hotel staff is excellent, very courteous and helpful. The food in the main restaurant is very good, and the included breakfast buffet is very complete. The location is also 10 minutes from he airport, and the area devoid of the heavy traffic which plagues the city on weekdays. Highly recommended either for tourism or business stays.
An excellent hotel with a nice location. Clean, well functioning, service minden Staffan that Spears English, good breakfast, excellent lunch and dinner restaurang, value for money. Good price when you book the room directly. Close to the airport without being disturbed by the airport.
Staff was extremely helpful and courteous and for those who do not speak Spanish, their language skills were terrific. Breakfast buffet was terrific and at $15 also a great price Only small issues: we had three in the room. Would have been nice if they had anticipated this and at least provided a third bottle of water before we asked. Also a square of wallpaper was peeling of the bathroom wall. A bit strange given that the rest of the room and hotel were immaculate
We stayed for three nights and found the hotel comfortable. The food was good, the room was nice and large with a comfortable bed, though the bathroom was rather small. Two armchairs in the room would have been nice, the desk chair was not comfortable and stayed unused. The swimming pool was small but there were not many users so it was OK. We used the roof top patio frequently and liked that there was a special menu for that area and tables and chairs to sit at to eat your food. Special mention to Douglas, an exceptionally good server and Freddy on the concierge desk who was super friendly and helpful.
We liked the size and comfort of the room. From here, you can easily (and safely) walk to the downtown area.
From the shuttle driver the bellmen, the front desk clerks, the cooks, housekeepers even the hotel security team Demonstrated outstanding customer service the entire hotel staff were very very friendly any questions or concerns were addressed very quickly and not being able to speak Spanish was not a problem at all the majority of the hotel staff spoke fluent English.Very short drive from the airport to the hotel, very close to downtown Guayaquil and historical sites. My room was very comfortable had a great view of the Guayas River.Computers are available nice outdoor pool and gym facilities were great speaking to other guest I agree that this Wyndham is the best hotel in all of Guayaquil. I will definitely be returning to Ecuador and will be staying at the Wyndham Hotel.
Perfect: Beautifully located at the waterfront: 10min to the international Airport. 10min walk to the Santa Ana hill, 20min walk to downtown. The breakfast is rich, fresh and delicious. Also the lunch buffet was worth a visit. The restaurant offers a nice terrace where you can sit close to the waterfront promenade. The rooms are quiet, clean, fully equipped. Free Wifi, sometimes a bit slow, but mostly fully sufficient. Ok'ish: If you like powerful aircons, this is your place. When I entered my room, it was on 17°C (63°F). Although the aircon has a temperature control, there were effectively only two options: Full power or off. Could be better: Nothing of relevance, I enjoyed a great stay.
Excellent service and clean rooms Love the pool! Good breakfast Nice places to walk Safe Friendly staff Helpful Organized Would have like a better view but was still very nice Recommend 100% to anyone
The rooms and beds were really nice and service was great! The club/executive level had an awesome view of the river, nice wine, and great service for happy hour and breakfast. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Hotel was next to a variety of shops, restaurants, bars, and live music right along the pier/boardwalk area. I'll definitely be back.
