Stayed here for two weeks whilst on business. The staff are really helpful and friendly. The room was spacious, clean and furnished to a high standard. Only real criticism is the gym. It is woefully inadequate for a hotel of this size and standard, there's plenty of room for some free weights and a couple of other machines. The location is towards the end of St. Anna which is a pleasant and safe area approximately 2KM along the bank of the river. I wouldn't recommend venturing outside of this area unless your with a local as the risk of robbery and kidnap is significant in some parts of the city. Outside of the hotel are a number of restaurants which are all reasonably priced with different styles of food. I Would definitely stay at this hotel if I had to visit Guayaquil again although I wouldn't visit the city for pleasure.
Really nice hotel and perfectly positioned. It’s a nice hotel with good rooms and nice food in the restaurant. Was working in Guayaquil for a couple of weeks staying at the Wyndham. Breakfasts were my favourite. Their Bircher was absolutely yum. The hotel is at the top of Malecon Simon Bolivar, known just as the Malecon. It’s lovely to just walk along. I’d been cautioned about safety but I felt completely safe always. It’s lovely. Can’t wait to go back, to Guayaquil and The Wyndham.
This hotel exceeded our expectations- super clean, excellent breakfast, very quiet, and gracious service.
We loved our stay at the Wyndham. The hotel is new, the rooms are very comfortable and spacious. We ordered room service and they brought it to the rooftop pool for us to accommodate our late arrival. Impeccable in terms of levels of noise, quality of service, quality of food, accommodations, etc.
Stayed in the Wyndham twice (Sept 17 and Feb 18) for just one night on each occasion. It's a great hotel, new and very comfortable, very well located in huge and frenzy Guayaquil. Rooms are excellent, fitness center is very good and breakfast is fantastic. It's located in a new area, by the river, very pleasant and trendy, with restaurants and bars and a nice walking area.
Good breakfast with very pleasant and helpful staff. Cocktails and restaurant more expensive than the many around the walkway outside. Rooms large and well fitted out ith either view over the river or the colourful hillside housing
We stayed one night here and loved it. Very comfortable room, clean and quiet. We ate lunch in the restaurant and it was clean, well staffed, and reasonably priced--we had a la carte. The buffet was about $25, which we didn't have. There were lots of locals eating here. The only negative with our stay was that the airport shuttle runs only on the hour and we had to catch a 4 am shuttle to catch our flight. We had paid for breakfast. The staff had assured us there would be coffee and some food available in the lobby. As it turns out, they don't begin that service until 4:30 am. But, the staff brought us two freshly made cups of coffee, but no food was available. It was just a mix up in language probably. Overall, we were happy with the hotel. If anything, shuttle runs every half hour would be nice during the morning hours.
November 2017 my wife and I had the pleasure of having this hotel as our entry and exit from Ecuador. We spent three nights at one of the nicest hotels in Guayaquil. It is on the river front so if you have the fortune to be placed on that side the view is amazing. It is on the waterfront and a short walk from the Malecon 2000. That is also a don't miss while here. If you are coming to Ecuador this is a grand place to start. BTW their breakfast was the best we had in our trip.
The Wyndham Guayaquil was by far the best accommodations I’ve had on my numerous trips to the area. I highly recommend this hotel for all aspects. The staff, service, rooms, cleanliness, location, view, food, etc. 5 stars all around. Thank you!!
We arrived without any reservations (having made a mistake on dates!) and we were welcome and taking good care of. We stayed over night waiting for a morning flight. We order a special in room service vegan salad and we were pretty happy with as the restaurant only open at 7pm (and our son is usually sleeping at this time!). We had the time to enjoyed the pool (where we found the only staff not smiling!). The bed was confortable but the cooling system very noisy. The view was not uplifting but well, we were here to have a rest. The buffet breakfast was big but not much gluten free option and limited fruits. Overall, this is our second experience in a whyndham hotel and we really enjoyed the energies in it. Thank you to all the staffs.
