I stayed 1 week at Mercure When I arrived they said I would have to wait till their 3 pm check in I had arrived at 1 pm which was ok but most hotels don't make you wait. When I got to the room it was not clean there was a couple of French fries under the coffee table. I had rented a car I asked about the parking I was told I would have to pay extra for the parking that is was not included in in my room rate??? Every hotel except for this one includes free parking. Also most nights when I returned I would have to go to the receptionist to reset my room key because it didn't work. The last day there the ceiling was leaking by the kitchen I told the front desk they said they were going to send someone to fix it I was out for most of the day when I returned nothing had been done and the room didn't even get cleaned. Also they gym is an 8x8 room with very exersize equipment.
The hotel room is excellent with all amenities. Close to restaurants etc.,,

This hotel has a nice location for restaurants. The staff is extremely helpful and nice---especially in the reception area where Reyna is the best. When we had problems printing our boarding passes, she went above and beyond to help us. She always had a smile and was willing to help book tours and do anything else we needed.

Found myself in Guatemala without a room, and ended up staying at Mercure. Was very please with the quality of the hotel. It was clean, modern room amenities, and a very nice staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Also has a kitchenette in each room which is a nice plus. Dont hesitate, nothing to worry about at this hotel!
This is my third business trip to Guatemala City and staying at the Mecure. The staff at the Mecure continues to provide superior customer service.
THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND ACCOMADATING. THE ROOMS WERE EXTRA CLEAN AND HAD A MINIBAR AND A MINI KITCHEN. THESE AMENITIES WERE VERY USEFULL. THE ROOM SAFE ADDED A GREAT SENSE OF SECURITY TO THE STAY.
