The view is incredible! Close to Circle K, Coffee Beanery, ABC Store, beaches. Steak restaurant on site. Helpful staff. I liked that they had a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. Huge queen size beds.
Ok so I actually stayed here January 2015 but I didn't realize that I couldn't choose a date further than 1 year back. I'm not sure if much has changed, but I had excellent service and decent pricing. I did have a rental car and parking wasn't all that fantastic. I had to wait til 8 or 9 pm before a spot opened up because of the restaurants downstairs were busy from 6 to 8 so i assumed those spaces were filled with local customers. However, our room was huge, cold, comfy. Surprisingly affordable and best of all CLEAN!! Its in the perfect spot right beside an ABC store for all your emergency needs, and restaurants all within a 5 to 10 minute walk. Its also pretty close to the Micronesian Mall. I think this is the best spot for a hotel to be in and the best price. For the record we paid about $90 a night.
Thank you for allowing us to have an early check in without extra charge. Over all we are happy with our stay and the room that they gave us except for the receptionists in charge early morning(snob) . They did not even bother to ask us about our booking/greet us and i was the one who initiated coz they were busy chatting. After explaining our situtation, coz we arrived 430am, .. the lady receptionist called me and said that they have an available room for us. Thank you whoever told the receptionist to give us a room without extra charge.
The location of this hotel is great and the staff is friendly. It is a five minute walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. We were able to check in early when we arrived at about 9 am, which was great. The room itself is just okay. It was fairly clean and dated. Our balcony door wouldn't open and the water only gets luke warm. Breakfast was not included, and it was $15 per person.
The location of the hotel is very good. As for the hotel itself, it's very old. We came in on the first flight of PAL and just took the chance to ask if there was a room available. The receptionist was borderline RUDE! It's like we bothered her and she did not want us there. The shower head was broken, the tiles were dark already due to wear in the bathroom. They have a good size bed though.
The location is very good and the room is very spacious, good for family travelers. I just wish that their front desk staff would be more friendly and accommodating to requests. Also, I hope the hotel will upgrade their regular blankets to comforters for better sleep quality.
Well, almost like in a hill. Situated on an elevated portion near the Tumon Bay, the Bayview Hotel Guam served our purpose of an accommodation where you can have a good sleep and a shower in a place where the major activity that one will do is shopping and dining. The 10-storey hotel, which is quite dated, boasts of big rooms, a swimming pool, and a good view of the Tumon Bay (if you're staying on the top floors). At almost 5,000 pesos per night, it has two queen-size beds and an ample space to move around. If you plan to take public transpo, I suggest you buy a 5-day unlimited bus rides on LEALEA, not Red Guahan, as it has a stop nearer to the hotel. I was quite disappointed, though, that despite my earlier requests for an early check-in, we were still made to wait for the 2PM check-in time. We arrived at the hotel at 4AM and have to wait for 10 hours before we were able to get a nap and shower. The front desk staff said the hotel is fully booked, although I doubt it since there is visibly no other tenant on the 9th floor aside from a few of the rooms. Still, the location is very good. Near the Tumon Bay (if one wants to go to a beach) and yet quite a distance from the maddening crowd that roams the various shops and restaurants along the Tumon Bay area.
It was hard to choose a hotel in the value range. They all rated high, but with reviews from it sux, to its great, was a tough choice. Overall room was clean, it great shape, I found nothing at fault. Very close to (easy walking distance to town center areas. I would stay again.
The Bayview has a very good location in Guam with a beautiful view over the bay. But that's all good to say about. There is a certain point, when even the friendliness of the staff cannot overcome an shabby building. Our room was smelling like an old cellar. It war very humid inside the room. I don't know in which decade the curtains were last cleaned. Dust and dirt was in the wooden ornament which is directly behind the bed. The bathroom facility was also very old and dirty. The walls between the rooms are as thin as paper. The pool was dirty and nobody cares about this area. The shower is broken. Pretty sad, because again, the view was nice. Actually we wanted to stay there 5 nights but we left after an awful first night. This was the best decision we could make! The other hotel was fantastic! If you really don't care where you sleep, or if it's just for one night, when you have a flight stopp it's ok. But for holidays I cannot recommend it. To the owner: Please renovate!!!!
Hotel could definitely use an upgrade. Room had a good view of the Pacific. Lots of Restaurants and shops nearby. Nice restaurant on site. If you walk to attractions, it is DOWNHILL. Which means uphill back.
