Is decent....all I have to say. You get what you pay.

Overall good quality for the price. Had to change rooms on arrival because of a plumbing problem in the bathroom of my initial unit, but the hotel accommodated the switch with no difficulties. My Spanish is limited and, while not all staff speak English, there was generally always someone around who could either speak English well enough or could understand my broken Spanglish. Some reviewers have commented negatively about the area of the city that the hotel is in, but I found it safer and cleaner than the downtown areas of most cities of comparable size that I've visited in other countries. The hotel has a restaurant that (as of the date of this posting) is open 8AM to 9:30PM for both dining-in and room service. Options were limited for vegan travelers like me, but there was definitely a good variety to appeal to visitors without dietary restrictions. For those interested in scheduling a day tour, you can choose one or more of the four options available for purchase from the front desk. The tour service will pick you up from and drop you off at the front door of the hotel. If you're looking for an affordable hotel within walking distance to some of the best activities Guadalajara has to offer, I would recommend giving this place a try.

Good value for the price. Convenient location, beautiful old building with nice plants and charming song birds in the courtyard. A bit noisy...you can hear everything from neighboring rooms as well as from the courtyard/lobby area below. The bathroom had been redone in a modern style, which looked nice but not having a shower door or shower curtain meant that water sprayed all over the bathroom floor.

Was a bad experience I won't use this hotel in my next trip

Not very attentive to any needs, room service would forget to leave clean towels. Not trustworthy when leaving valuables in room.

The hotel itself has a good vintage look to it and makes you feel like you are in the historic center of guadalajara. The rooms on the inside however are clearly older and quite simple. I was expecting more decor and better quality of furniture. With that said, I got exactly what I payed for a great price for a 2 star hotel. The location of the hotel, I thought was great. We were right in the middle of the centro Historico de Guadalajara and were within walking distance of all the landmarks located within. We had an absolute great time visiting all the locations like the churches, museums, historical buildings, theater and government buildings and saved a great amount of money because we didtn have to invest in transportation. We also were spoiled with all the great restaurants and great food all around the centro historico. Finally, the staff at the hotel were top notch. They were very informative and helpoful aswell as polite. They catered to all our needs and provided us a great experince at the hotel. Everything from meeting our expectations to helping us plan great tours and adventures throughout the city. I would recommend this hotel if you are traveling on a budget and want to spend your money on site seeing as opposed to spending all your money on a fancy hotel.

Kitchen staff/ in hotel resturant was horrible service. Exteemely slow negleted us twice times we ate there and we were only ones there eating. Waitress was rude never smiled. Room was ok except for giant spider that came out of no where called it in and they did nothing. But rooms are extremely roomy big beds and location is great

Very nice hotel with great staff. Centrally located and close to shopping and main attractions.

While the hotel did in fact have wifi it only worked around the front desk and was a little bothersome to have to go downstairs to use the computer. Would be nice to get a signal in my room.

To start I had made the reservation for the wrong days but the staff said it was no problem and that they would take care of it. I was so relieved that I didn't have to pay any extra. The hotel is beautiful and old I really loved the antique style. It is only 2 or 3 blocks from the town center so it was a perfect location. The day we checked out we had to be at the airport early and the staff called the taxi for us. Also, because it is not right in the middle of the centro things cost less around the hotel. There is a small restaurant right in front of the hotel to the right on the corner that serves the most delicious fresh food ever and very cheap. I totally recommend Tapatio Tours which costs only 100 pesos and takes you to Tlaquepaque, Tanala, Zonapec, and all around Guadalajara you get to see all the artisan work it is amazing.

It's in the center of town and close to every thing we needed. Very nice vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first room was very nice and clean the second time coming back the rooms close to the entrance are super noisy no rest or sleep there is a smell from the drains.

A very good place to stay, however the sorrounding environment is not so good.

I had read several reviews of this hotel and was prepared to get my $35 a night's worth, but was impressed that I got so much more than that. It is festively and freshly painted in green and yellow (Oregon Duck colors) with a fountain in the lobby and another in the restaurant. There are cages of canaries, some nesting on eggs everywhere. The bedroom was spacious with a comfortable couch, table and chairs and plenty of heart water in the shower. The food in the restarurant was good and cheap. It is at the edge of the historical district in walking distance of everything we wanted to see. Would defintely stay there again.

Good location in the city. The rooms are badly in need refurbishing in order to keep the 4 star rating they claim. When we checked in, the room had a non-operating TV so we were relocated to another room where the toilet leaked all over the bathroom floor. It was repaired the next day. Food in the restaurant was quite good and everyone on Staff was helpful and friendly.

This hotel is in a good location to see the historic area, catch local transit, go to San Juan de Dios market, ect. It is sad to see it slowly deteriorate. They are trying to fix it with a coat of paint, but that doesn't do it. The restaurant was one of the reasons we always returned here, but this time the service was horrible and the food was just mediocre. We think this is Hasta La Vista.

In a great spot and the price was right. The hotel is a bit worn out but for me this can be over looked because the location is so great. I walked to all of the sights. It was clean and the staff was friendly. Free WiFi that worked great.

comfortable beds would be helpful, as would money changing options at the desk

Room had a mildew odor. Staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful however we were charged for an extra night.

Very nice hotel in the Historical Center of Guadaljara. Close to walk to all the sightseeing spots. The rooms in the back are wonderful and quiet, no street noise. Friendly hotel personal and trustworthy. I can just recommend it!
