The water was brown in the room, there was trash, blood on my pillow, rust and mold in the bathroom and the check in girl wasn’t friendly and very slow service. I am so angry I paid $200 for this one night in this hotel.
Their staff is very friendly, helpful, and really care about their work. The property is going through a renovation and should look good upon finishing.
What I did not like: there was a large dark spot on the curtains and drapes (looked like blood). 2, there were dark stains in the tub (looked uncleaned). 3, the smoke detector had fallen off the wall on the floor by the bed (no protection) 4, there was a clump of dust in the corner on the bedroom floor by the door (floor had not been vacuumed thoroughly for days.) 5, someone had dropped potato chips in the elevator the crumbs remained there during my entire 2 day stay (staff not cleaning daily) 6, there was only one staff person on duty when I arrived that night. I did like breakfast and the staff person in charge. I did like night staff person at front desk. During the COVID 19 pandemic, I felt that the overall cleanliness of the facility was poor. I understand renovations are in progress, but rooms should not be rented out if conditions are substandard.
Everything was great from the cozy rooms to the complimentary breakfast.
Huge patched hole in the ceiling of the room opposite the bathroom,so I have no clue how it happened. Bathroom sink took a long time to drain after washing hands. Toilet didn't flush properly. Front desk staff was nice.
The girl at check in was very welcoming and friendly! Hotel is very clean, upscale and definitely worth the stay!

we spend a little more to stay at HIExpress because it is a slight cut above other travel hotels This HIExp was overall not bad, but isn't what we find at other locations all over the country. Beds were old and saggy. Many items missing from breakfast selection. In trying to call and book room the staff member that answered said hotel was full. Looked online. Many rooms available and booked online. The hotel parking lot was 1/4 full at dark. This hotel is in a struggling community, fair enough. Doesn't legitimize HI having a sub-par facility
Staff was extremely polite and helpful! Room was comfortable. Location was excellent to access highways.

Could not drink the water as it was brown coming from the tap. As we were traveling we didn't want to get the trots.
The hospitality and the hotel was first class. However the hotel needs to provide shuttle service to and from the Airport as a Taxi Fee is $25.00 to $35.00. They said that service was only available for flight crews staying at the hotel. Passengers on those flight need transportation also.
Only issue was I had to work at night on my visit and the housekeeping staff although very nice is very loud in the hallways. Difficult to rest in am hours.

I do apologize for the inconviences you experienced during your stay. As you may have come to realize we are in the process of Renovation. The issues are in motion to be fixed. Be sure to come see us after the renovation!
