This hotel wasn't the worst we've been to, but it wasn't the greatest. It was clean enough inside the room. Only one ice machine was kind of a pain. No coffee makers in room, would have had to go to front desk which wasn't convenient.

One Star is too much for this place. This place is awful. Nothing works. It is a complete dump. We came for a wedding and asked for a late check out online. When we called the front desk and asked for a late check out the manager told us it would be $20 an hour. I explained I asked for a late check out and he said you cannot ask online, which is a lie, and we would need to pay $20 an hour. I stated I am going to write a bad review and he said you can to what ever you want to do. There are holes in the floor. No blankets on the bed. The sheets had a stains and holes. The bathroom fan did not work, the ironing board was broken and the iron was pretty much useless. We traveled to be here for a wedding. It is obvious that they just want the money and do not care about the comfort of their guests. Spend the extra money and go somewhere else.

We stayed here for two nights. We arrived very late, around 1:30 am and were very tired because of the hour and the long drive from Virginia. We noticed a few ants on the bedside table and thought it was gross but we were so tired that we fell asleep. The next morning we were anxious to go visit family and thankfully temporarily forgot about the ants. We were again very tired the second night and fell asleep. The next morning we awoke to ants all over the sheets! We complained to the front desk and instead of being offered a reduced rate or refund she insinuated that we brought the ants with us. She did say that we should have told them the first night and we would have been offered a different room but it was around 2 am and we were beat. If there is an ant infestation who knows what else is there. We will never be back and we are more than upset.

Our policy is usually to avoid motels with rooms that exit outdoors without an internal hallway. We’ve learned we can relax that rule for some modernized Rodeway Inns. We had a great stay here. The room was clean, the bed was comfy and spacious, and we appreciated an easy check-in and the courteous staff. We wish breakfast was offered, but there is free coffee. We do enjoy parking in front of our room. The hotel is also close to the Fred (Mister) Rogers Center museum in nearby Latrobe, Pa., which is at Saint Vincent College, which also hosts Steelers training camp. If you want fancy, go somewhere else and just pay a lot more money. If you want a great, simple place to stay the night, stop here and get a room—and save some money.

If you need an inexpensive clean place to stay with no frills, this is your place. If you are east bound, they are a challenge to get into, but they called me at noon on my arrival day to explain how to get in. That is good customer service. U-shaped, two story motel with exterior doors. Parking in the center. Most, if not all rooms recently renovated. Hard wood floors, fridge, microwave, dresser, desk, desk chair, over stuffed chair and flat screen TV. You get about 600 channels it seems. Only complaint about the room is that the bathroom has a single pedestal sink, so there is minimal space to lay toiletries when you have several people in the room. There are no electric plugs in the bathroom. Only two sets of towels left in the room. Check in speed was reasonable. Internet worked well. No breakfast, but for this rate, and this cleanliness, I'll eat at McD's down the street. Would stay again without hesitation.

We chose this hotel on price alone since our Airbnb host flaked out on us and left us without a place to stay at 10pm. I was a bit skeptical about how clean the room would be and whether or not the AC would work (temp was 96 that day) for a hotel in this price range. When we pulled into the parking lot at 10:40pm I was not comforted by the apparent age of the building, having a 1960s motel look. I couldn’t see the paint job or quality of upkeep since it was dark and my night vision isn’t great. However, my first impression of the lobby was a pleasant surprise - it looked new, clean, and well kept. The owner greeted me with a smile and seemed genuinely happy to welcome us. Check in was quick and painless. Upon entering the room we were immediately impressed by the quality of workmanship that was evident from the renovation; they didn’t just slap a coat of paint on it and call it good. The floors are hardwood, the bed frame and mattress are new, TV was a good size flat screen, the new AC unit worked great, sinks and bathroom were completely new and very clean. I was shocked that a room this affordable could be so nice. My clients put me in 4 and 5 star hotels, so I have a pretty high standard when it comes to acceptable accommodations - this place was great! It wasn’t a large room, but it was perfectly suited to our needs. The mini fridge and microwave were a nice added touch. The owners have worked hard to make this a very nice place to stay. The owner told me that it has taken them three years of ownership to get the previous owners low ratings replaced with their own higher ratings and now their perseverance is paying off. I give them 5 stars!

I booked through a 3rd party which stated that this is a pet friendly hotel. I checked in at 2300 hrs and the manager Patel who looked like he just rolled out of bed gives me my room key after I sign the usual documents. The next morning Patel rudely accuses me of having a dog in my room (brought my son’s dog up for family weekend). He then says they don’t allow dogs and it’s a $250.00 cleaning fee. I told him a bout the 3rd party website which stated it is a pet friendly hotel. He then backtracked and said they do allow pets at the hotel but only in certain rooms. At that point I’m thinking to myself is this guy trying to run a scam on me. This place is not to be trusted. I get an unauthorized charge on my credit card. I’m assuming it’s for their so called “pet fee” which they don’t allow or do they????? If they were honest when I was checking out and told me that they were placing a $20 dollar charge than fine but Patel told me to leave because he didn’t feel like arguing (he didn’t feel like lying anymore) and we were squared away. Shady business practices.

The owner was friendly, the room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom looked like it was newly renovated. For the price, this is an excellent choice. I would recommend a stay at the Mallview.

They may have remodeled and such to make them a lot less trashy than before, but I am not too happy about their deceptive business practices! They have a large sign outside saying that they have a 3 night special for $50 Something. Considering that this fleabag motel is trying to change their appearance and that is what you'd think a rundown place like this would already charge per night, you would assume that is the price for all three nights, not each night individually. Not so. Beware.

My daughter and I stayed one night. Our room was very clean and neat. Great water and hot shower. Nice furnishings and hardwood floor. We had no complaints at all and would happily stay there again if in the area.
