The Grand Canyon is located in northern Arizona and was carved by the Colorado River. Today its one of the world’s most famous and visited natural attractions. Its South Rim is open year-round and offers spectacular views of the canyon, which can be accessed via the free shuttle bus service. It’s also the gateway to river trips and backcountry hiking throughout this part of Arizona.
Grand Canyon National Park is home to a number of RV parks and campgrounds. Trailer Village is located on the South Rim and features full hook-ups, while Mather Campground in Grand Canyon Village offers tent and RV camping. Desert View is one of the Grand Canyon’s more remote campgrounds and is only suitable for tent camping. The canyon’s North Rim also has a campground, offering tent and RV camping.
