Whether you're looking for a hike along beautiful trails or simply want to choose one of the outlooks on the rim and gaze over the canyon's expanse, you won't be disappointed at making the trip. Best time to take a vacation to Grand Canyon

As with many vacation destinations, the Grand Canyon may be best when visited during the off-season. From October through May the crowds thin out significantly. Snow closes off the canyon during the winter to vehicle traffic, with access limited to hiking or skiing. The trails can be covered with snow or ice, and during the warmer month of April, visitors may experience high winds. If hiking doesn't suit your taste, in October and November you can enjoy the Grand Canyon Celebration of Art on the South Rim, an annual event featuring artists from around the country painting the scenery of the Grand Canyon.
