Went here during Summer 17, fantastic hotel in a fantastic location. Plenty of things to do for kids and adults alike. Only downsides where that the kids club at night was very repetitive. After the second night you knew exactly what song was going to be playing next. Minus that, superb holiday
We stopping here for a wk .I'm really impressed for a three star hotel.i was a little apprehensive when I booked because of all the negative reviews what do people expect for the price .I got a lot more than I expected .the food was really good.the room was big and cleaned every day.the water park was really good.the ani.ation team put on some really good shows and the staff were lovely.iv been to some 4 star hotels and paid a lot more to be disappointed .there are however a couple of things that I found to be disappointing no free water at the bar to take to ur room had to buy it from bar as the shop was closed when we arrived.this should be part of all inc.and also plastic cups at the hotel bar we found ridiculous I can understand it at the pool but not in the hotel we did notice that if you paid for a drink that wasent on all inc you got a proper glass.come on manager get it right you got s nice hotel good value for money and customer service give customers a proper glass in the hotel bar .
Fantastic 3* family holiday. The room was spacious and we were lucky to be on a low floor overlooking the pool area. The restaurant was extremely busy at times and there was a good selection of food, something even for fussy eaters. Entry to the waterpark was included in our price, however it is saltwater. Drinks and food weren't included for the waterpark however we were able to walk in and out and get drinks from the hotel. Sunbeds were always reserved and you have to be quick to get them. The evening entertainment area is small considering the size of the complex and you have to arrive early in the evening for a table. There are activities for kids throughout the day and the pool, beach and waterpark mean that you dont have to do the same thing every day. We found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the holiday
When we arrived the hotel the tour operator had advisedly hotel my mum found it difficult to climb stairs so they up graded us to family rooms the bottom floor. The rooms on the bottom floor facing the pool the windows are not frozed so it like being in a fish bowl. The rooms were clean, with plenty of room. You do have to hire a kettle and there are no cups to have a morning brew. The staff were friendly the food was good, the kids loved the pizza and pan cakes. We were allowed free entrance to the water park, it is Salt water take plenty to drink to wash your mouth out after swimming or going on the slides. The entertainment team was great. If u go up to the entertainment at night take your cushions of your bed the seats are uncomfortable. It is a very quiet location so if your after a buzz of night life it's not for you.
Beds were disgusting food served cold every meal time staff very unfriendly. After making complaints to the hotel manager I was told they wouldn't help me, I wouldn't advise anyone to stay here at all.
After setting off from home at 5.30am and flying from Birmingham airport at 7.30am, we arrived at the hotel at 3.50pm absolutely shattered after 7 drop offs and a one and a half hour journey by coach but the sun was shining. Our apartment had a double bedroom and lounge/kitchenette with a sofa bed and camp bed which had slats missing. After reporting this to reception next day it was replaced. We weren't bothered about having TV but if you do want to watch (only 3 channels anyway) you need to pay a 10 euro deposit for the controls. Although all-inclusive,there is a kitchenette which has a hob and microwave but should you want an early morning cuppa before breakfast there isn't a kettle or crockery. Bathroom OK with hairdryer and soap & shampoo but the hot water was a bit dodgy - really hot or very cold. Plenty of soft white towels. We were on the 7th floor and one of the 4 lifts was constantly out of order and you had to have a bit of patience when you realised that someone had pressed all the buttons so that the lift you were in stopped at all floors! The restaurant was like a works canteen with larger family tables on one side and children running around. All tables were set with linen napkins & cutlery, but once the table had been used and cleared, you had to get your own cutlery and paper serviettes if you wanted that table. Cutlery (especially spoons) seemed to be in short supply. There was plenty of food to choose from - there was always fresh pasta and sauces and pizzas were made as we waited, as were pancakes at breakfast. The children's selection was a bit poor but ours ate from the main area. The drinks machines were set at one end of the room and there were few wine glasses. The wine was a bit rough and slightly fizzy! The juices need diluting with water which occasionally ran out. All the staff were lovely, from those in the restaurant, the cleaners, reception, bars and children's entertainers. The hotel pool was in the shade until lunchtime but was always busy but we preferred the water park. It is quite deep in areas and the water was freezing (it was the end of October) but it was spotlessly clean and there were plenty of sunbeds. Not sure if there would be enough during the summer though. Yes we enjoyed it and the kids would like to go there again. We priced a taxi for our return to the airport but it was 70 euros so we opted for the coach. This journey was an hour as there were no pick-ups.
This is the second time at this hotel, the last visit being 9 years ago. There has been numerous changes including an entertainment team and nightly shows. If you like that sort of thing fine, it wasn't our cup of tea although the kids mini disco is good and outdoors so the kids aren't cooped up. In terms of rooms, they are ok but the room for 2 nine years ago is the same size for a family of 5 with a sofa bed and camp bed in the living room. The rooms on the whole are ok, a little run down as are the public areas e.g toilets with brown rusty taps. However the staff are awesome. We didn't encounter one bad or grumpy member of staff. They were all smiley and happy to help. The food is ok, good choice for adults but not so good for picky kids. And it wasn't always hot although maybe this is expected in a buffet environment. One of my kids lived on pizza, chips and ice cream much to his delight. The drinks in the buffet hall are rubbish. Only one lot to share between everyone and glasses were lacking. The cutlery also seemed to be lacking during the week. In terms of swimming pools, lovely although we preferred the water park to the hotel pool which was super busy and noisy. Not so keen on the lifeguards on their mobiles in the water park but we watched our kids anyway. If you want a nice week away it's definitely a good place if you've got kids. 2 weeks would maybe have been too much and you would perhaps need to go on trips or hire a car as the resort is 4 hotels, a water park and a couple of shops. There isn't an option to eat out. Would recommend and kids want to return so thumbs up.
Well we arrived home last night and what a brilliant holiday, can't even begin to say how much we have enjoyed it here. We are a family of 4 with 2 boys age 2 and 6. The rooms are clean and plenty of space, the hotel it's self is lovely and clean. Yes the pool isn't huge but we haven't had any issues with it been over crowded. Always managed to find sun beds and we didn't go to the pool till around 10am most mornings. Food has been amazing plenty of choice and something for everyone. Every lunch/dinner time there were 2 different meats cooked fresh in front of you and fresh fish too. The hotel staff are lovely and polite. The animation team are brilliant and work so hard. I'm 100% not a 'Jeremy kyle' as some have said. Please do not be put off due to bad reviews. I honestly think some people were in a different hotel to us. A holiday is what you make it and for the price we paid it was fantastic and we will be booking for next year too. Enjoy your holiday
on arrival you do have a 100yd walk from bus through a beautiful pedestrian precinct across the entrance to the water park and around into the reception(on left). when you walk up several stairs there is a 5ft sign donating where everything is(you just cant miss it). its beautiful looking hotel with 8 floors with the pool on the 1st floor. staff are very friendly but not intrusive. bedrooms are of a decent standard(after all its a 3 star) food in the restaurant was of a good standard .BREAKFAST- croissants ,petitfors , fresh bread, cereal , fruit ,yoghurt, scrambled and fried egg, bacon English sausage, pancakes etc. didn't eat much at lunch, TEATIME always 2/3 meats(sometimes fish) in sauces, pastas with fresh cooked lamb ,pork chops, chicken fillets or one night roast beef. rice and paellas the norm too. there was also a dozen fresh sweets to chose from every night so as you can see it would be hard to NOT to find something nice too eat. all inclusive water park is exactly that but you have to pay for your food n drinks. taurito itself is a small village with several hotels , a water park and a beach with as handful of shops. its great for kids especially kids mini disco in the evening but there isn't a lot for older couples to do . shuttle bus goes from the bus stop every half hour to playa del cura and it is there were you can catch a bus to wherever you wish
The hotel is very secluded absolutely nothing outside the hotel even the beach isnt very good we went as a couple but if you are going as a family a lot of hidden extras at night time the all inclusive drinks are not very good the pool is way to small for the size of the hotel wouldnt go again
