Location, Breakfast and Wifi were good. The bathroom glass was a bit dirty, the shower gel and shampoo had the "Used" tire broken, so they were not new. Even with the heaters on, the room was a bit cold. The room was small.
Stayed this week for 1 night, travelled on business with a colleague (separate rooms). Very central location, polite staff. Breakfast OK. Our rooms, however, were horrid. Very horrid. I was in 223, my colleague 226. It was like a student dorm room. 2 single beds pushed together with little single duvets. Terrible decor. Cold, really cold - and no thermostat in the room?! It was like something out of the 1970s. Horrid bathrooms, too. Really cheap. Mine had gaffer tape across the sink! Here's the funny thing, though - our rooms / corridor were only accessible via a small service / goods elevator, tucked around the back. Couldn't access our corridor / rooms from the main elevator opposite reception. And the photos of the rooms on the hotel website are in no way representative of our rooms at all. I'm guessing there's a new and old part of the hotel, and we were in the old part, maybe? We paid approx £125 each per room for the night. My client paid £150 to stay at Gothia Towers, which is proper luxury. I was gutted when I saw his hotel. And before anyone asks, no I didn't complain - just figured my company had put me in a cheap hotel (like normal) :( Cannot recommend this place. Go to Gothia Towers.
OK, good location, i will have more experience next time, if i will stay longer time, just over night quite short visit. for this moment i can´t say so much more, maybe next time if i will chose this hotel because of this surveys maybe not.
I traveled here with my mother. We were concerned about walking with our suitcases from the bus station to the hotel but it was so close we could see it as soon as we stepped off the airport transfer bus. Reception area of the hotel was charming with lovely lighting. Receptionist was very welcoming and offered us a cheap upgrade to a larger room in the newer part of the building. We took it. We had a large corner room with 180 floor to ceiling windows. Which was beautiful but did make dressing slightly awkward! Remembering to shut the curtains! We slept well the twin beds were comfy and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Plenty of choice and we had a go at the “make your own waffles” station! Nice quirky extra! The hotel staff agreed to hold our luggage for the day while we explored the city and were lovely when we came back. Offering us private facilities to freshen up before our onward journey. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.
This is situated right opposite the station and the airport bus virtually takes you to the front door. Pay kr100 for the bus not kr1000 for a taxi. It is also next to one of the largest shopping centres in Scandinavia. Further as its name implies it is 10 mins from the opera. So all that’s great but the room was small, the bathroo tiny (shower - no bath), the bed was soft and not comfortable. It was a cold day and night; the radiator could not be turned up and the room was not very warm. Finally the restaurant was closed on Sunday for lunch and dinner. So the hotel is OK but it not great.
Everything in this hotel was good, stuff was very friendly, breakfast in wide range. Could suggest to everyone who likes to stay in the city centrum or visit Opera house which is behind the corner. Maybe just corridors are a bit wearn.
A very warm welcome, tea and coffee always at our disposal, all clean and tidy, a very, very complete breakfast to enjoy, the most central hotel in Göteborg near the arrival of Flygbussarna! Wonderfull stay at your hotel!!
Great hotel location is great, service is perfect and breakfast it’s incredible well done I high recommend it’s also good value All is walking distance if you are welling to walk - I arrive early morning and they allow me to do check the n with no problem you can leave bag and also be ready to your visit Other nice treat you have a corner of the lobby with coffee and tea that of course is free nice when you come in to hotel to have something warm
Price and quality matches very well. Good location, staff was helpful and friendly. Room was quite small but clean and nice. Railway station very near, taxistation in front of the hotel. Did not have a possibility to visit the Spa. Book direct to the Hotel so will get free entrance to the Spa!
Small rooms, flimsy beds, old mattresses, old carpeting, ultra basic bathrooms that are very very dated... I could go on, but you get the picture. This hotel spoiled my weekend in G’borg. I am writing this review so others don’t make the same mistake I made to stay here.
