I have chosen Hotel Opera for my two day business trip and I will use this hotel again when I'm in Gothenburg. Clean room, nice staff, great breakfast. Just minutes away from the main bus station. Walking distance practically to everywhere.
Nice hotel with helpful personnel. Located 2 minutes walk from the Central train station. The reception/lounge has a an open fire and sofas. Possibility to get a coffee (cafe latte/cappucine/espreso). Also bier/wine for those who wish. Sat there working between by business meetings which was very nice.
Took a day trip to this great town. Great hotel and location was amazing. Right next to train station and around the corner from it all. Staff was nice and helpful regarding what to do and where to go.
The hotel OPERA is situated in the centre of Gothenburg with easy access to the entire city. The staff is very friendly and helpful at any time. The price-performance (value) is okay. The rooms do need a refurbishment. However, the cleanliness of the rooms is excellent. I would be prepared to pay a little more after the refurbishment will have been done. Very good breakfast, although it was slightly better in the former restaurant in October 2017.
Nicely located average if a bit dated hotel. Nice staff but trouble at check-in with payment. And the room I got was freezing, really cold like no room I've stayed in before. Close to city center and train station.
Been here several times and is a nice hotel close to Centralstation and nightlife. I have Always been upgraded to the new part of the hotel when check.in, even if I most of the time book the hotel in the last minute.
Stayed here 2 nights in businees. Close to the bus and train terminal. Airport bus stopped 4 mins walking distance from the hotel. Nice reception area and rooms. It is close to the shopping Centre NORDSTADEN and in the city centre. Close to lilla Bommen and the seaside. Breakfast was mid range. The hotel room was supplied with small tubes of shampoo/balsam and lotion. The/coffie making facilities in the room. I did not have time to visit the spa area.Very service minded staff. Can highly recommend this hotel on your next stay in Gothenburg,
I stayed for 1 night for my self. Later I found there was a room for one at much lower price. Overall experience was good. I will highly recommend. The room was clean, the tv was big enough and in front of the bed. The most important thing was you can catch the Airport bus easily.
Location, Breakfast and Wifi were good. The bathroom glass was a bit dirty, the shower gel and shampoo had the "Used" tire broken, so they were not new. Even with the heaters on, the room was a bit cold. The room was small.
Stayed this week for 1 night, travelled on business with a colleague (separate rooms). Very central location, polite staff. Breakfast OK. Our rooms, however, were horrid. Very horrid. I was in 223, my colleague 226. It was like a student dorm room. 2 single beds pushed together with little single duvets. Terrible decor. Cold, really cold - and no thermostat in the room?! It was like something out of the 1970s. Horrid bathrooms, too. Really cheap. Mine had gaffer tape across the sink! Here's the funny thing, though - our rooms / corridor were only accessible via a small service / goods elevator, tucked around the back. Couldn't access our corridor / rooms from the main elevator opposite reception. And the photos of the rooms on the hotel website are in no way representative of our rooms at all. I'm guessing there's a new and old part of the hotel, and we were in the old part, maybe? We paid approx £125 each per room for the night. My client paid £150 to stay at Gothia Towers, which is proper luxury. I was gutted when I saw his hotel. And before anyone asks, no I didn't complain - just figured my company had put me in a cheap hotel (like normal) :( Cannot recommend this place. Go to Gothia Towers.
