Great central location, good amenities, easy access for parking. Free WiFi is slow and free limit of 200mb is a joke. WiFi should be included. Sky deck is interesting good views of the entire area. Sky Deck breakfast was average but views very good
I booked the Q1 on a whim, and was certainly not disappointed! From the moment I pulled up outside the Q1, I was amazed at the atmosphere of the resort. From the wonderful water pool inside in the lobby, to the glass top benches near the lifts, the modern, clean colours in the halls on each floor and the wonderful expanse of pools and greenery outside, everything at the Q1 screamed 'lavish'. The reception staff were all too accomodating and professional, always willing to help where possible, and no job was too much for them. With the Q1 being a smoke free resort, it was a welcome addition to my holiday. It was wonderful being no more than a 10 minute walk to Cavill Avenue, and a mere 30 second walk to the nearest G-rail station which was right outside the resort. The beach was only a 3 minute walk, which would benefit families with little ones. Everything in Surfers Paradise was in close proximity to the resort. I was placed on the 17th floor, which provided a nice view of both the river and the beach, and found that the lifts were prompt to get you to where you needed to be. The room I was placed in to could not be faulted. The room was spacious for a one bedroom, and immaculately clean. The spa bath was a nice touch, but I did struggle to figure out how to turn the jets down, and found it a tad loud, but did enjoy just regular baths on the few times I used it while on holidays. All the amenities were wonderful and smelt divine, and it was wonderful to be given complimentary dish washing liquid, laundry liquid, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, soap, toilet paper and tissues, as well as a varieties of tea, coffee, sugar and salt. I am definitely looking forward to another stay at the Q1 in the future, I would highly recommend the Q1 to anyone who wants to stay somewhere with a bit of pizzazz.
When on the Gold Coast this is the place to stay! It's location is great, right within the heart of the Gold Coast whilst away from the noise and traffic of main Surfers and right across the road from the beach. Our two bedroom ocean view apartment was stunning with view north and south along the beach and over towards the hinderland. It was amazing to lay in bed, watch the sun rise and spot the dolphins! Topped by the fact it was spotless, these rooms are perfect for families or a couple of friends. We started the mornings with a session in the gym that was well equipped, again spotlessly clean and then enjoyed a swim in one of the two pools. The poolside area was well appointed and the grounds beautifully presented. Over the two nights we enjoyed a couple of great meals, the Japanese located downstairs and Italian across the road. These were both great experiences and so handy to our location. I look forward to returning when we are next on the Gold Coast.
Clean and Tidy, close to the beach and a quick walk to cavill ave, rooms were nice but recommend requesting a high floor at time of booking as changes can't be made once you arrive to check in. We had breakfast at skypoint the view was amazing, we will definitely stay here again next time we visit the gold coast.
We stayed on the 23rd floor and the view was spectacular. We were very happy with our room as it was spacious and clean. The outdoor pools are not heated so that was the only down side. The location was superb and the staff are friendly.
I paid for a nice view of the hinterlands, assumed access the highest point in the city. Convenient parking and a comfortable apartment in the center of the gold coast. Cost of $600 for 2 nights minimum. What we got was muddy and dusty windows that hadn't been cleaned for weeks or months. A strong smell throughout the hallways and the apartment without ventilation or the ability to open windows more than 2 cm.. Zero access to the view from the top floor. Confusing signage to find any type of pool or gym facilities... We never found them. A bed with no warm blankets. A broken cooker, 5 blown lightbulbs. No obvious power points in the bathroom. A hard and uncomfortable queen bed. The room service advertised was actually a menu for Dominos rebranded to look like a room service menu ad nothing more. After checking in a seeing the apartment we asked about cutting our stay short. This was rejected by the night staff and we had to stay that night to resolve the issue in the morning. The day staff were slighly more willing to let us leave but the first night still cost us nearly $400 out of the 2 night price of $600. Very disappointed and left one night early to drive home for 2 hours rather than stay one more night.
Amazing views of the beach and cityscape of Surfers Paradise from the windows of the 33rd floor of the Q1 tower are well worth the spend. The apartment is well suited to large family holidays, comfortably accommodated a family of six. The staff were welcoming and accommodating and happy to attend to any query or request. Our room was a spacious and clean, a three bedroom two bathroom and single powder room, which was enough to accommodate our family of six for the duration of our visit
Q1 has fantastic Accommodation options we were a family of 7 and we had a comfortable 3bd apartment. Pools gym sauna and bar are amazing. I would highly recommend this resort. It's also a very short walk to the shops and beach. Can't wait to go back
Upgraded to 62nd floor from the 30th for a nominal fee; amazing views of the coastline. Gorgeous 3 bed 3 bath apartment. Floor to ceiling windows in master suite. Views of the ocean from the spa tub. Just an incredible stay. Friendly front desk and attractions staff. Visited the top observation deck for 29 dollar pp buffet. Enjoyed the views but the buffet could have been better managed. Overall I would be happy to stay there every time I visit the Gold Coast. Highly recommended.
Amazing! We booked for one night and when we stepped into the room it was spectacular. It was a huge 3 bedroom penthouse with great views. It had 4 bathrooms, 1 huge lounge, 1 huge kitchen and dining. It was very nice and there was even a huge balcony with a couch and a chair swing. It was nice to relax on the comfortable beds. This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Did I mention it was amazing.
