My partner and I stayed for 2 nights on the 22nd floor. The view was amazing!!! The room could do with an update, however for the price it's great value for money! Location is great, close to everything, walking distance from Cavill and the beach! We will definately be back :)

We stayed here for 5 nights & will definitely be returning. We had an ocean view room on the 18th floor. Yes, the apartment could do with an upgrade, however we knew we weren't paying for a 5 star resort! We were more than happy with the location, the view, the facilities. The indoor pool was lovely to take advantage of in the morning. The staff were friendly, and we will definitely look at booking here again.

Luck of the draw they said! Worst hotel Do not stay here it's REALLY NOT WORTH IT! Staff told us that the rooms are "luck of the draw" because of renovations to the rooms. This was supposed to be a romantic holiday away with my partner and I and they gave us the room that needs renovating (BADLY!) instead of the one we paid $40 more for that was renovated and picture perfect; claming that the room they placed us in was the exact same room as the other when the site shows that the rooms are completely different. We already stayed 4 nights because we didn't want to cause a fuss but not a single staff member contacted us and let us know that they put us in the wrong room until my partner and I noticed when we checked the site 4 days in after we talked to friends who got a nearby hotel for cheaper and their hotel was quality and up to date for what they paid for including current pictures of their room that were what they paid for instead of a room with unexceptional damage. I am extremely disappointed with certain staff members and hotel service at beachcomber surfers paradise with their "consideration" and "service" seeing as there was none. I understand if there was a mix up but because of being mistreated by staff explaining that the room price doesn't matter even when we paid more for the other room we stayed in for 2 nights instead of 6 and refused to give us a refund or any type of exchange to level out for their mistake when the website CLEARLY STATES that they are completely different rooms and they were BOTH listed on the same site. The room we PAID for was Studio Ocean Superior and the room we got was Studio Ocean View until WE ASKED for another room because of damage to the room that the staff knew of beforehand and didn't mention that they knew of until we decided to ask for the right room which we should have been placed in the first place but kept being told that they were the same room and we should have came in sooner when they were the ones who put us in the wrong room. No one should be allowed to stay in that room until renovations are completed! It baffles me how they can show such a perfect picture on their website when you can clearly see the damage it has in the pictures we took of our wrong apartment we got put in that was supposedly the same as their Studio Ocean View apartment when we were meant to be placed in Studio Ocean Superior apartment. I have emailed beachcomber and they still haven't got back to me and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they never did. Worst hotel. The only thing I can say is thanks for nothing. Literally, I have nothing to thank you for other than knowing my partner and I will never return to your absurd hotel so thankyou for making that decision clear.

Stayed here for 2 night on level 25 on a deal directly with the hotel for $89 a night which was meant to be for a renovated room, unfortunately sold out. So was put in a non renovated room. Honestly it wasn't great but it was do-able. Bathroom was a disgrace though, shower doors that didn't close and a dryer that you couldn't use because the button was missing. The ironing board didn't have a cover and the pillows were about as thin as the case they were in. But the view was stunning and the location almost unbeatable. I'd consider staying again only if I was in a renovated room.

We recently stayed at Beachcomber in Surfers for Seafire. The room had a fabulous view of the beach and the location was great to watch the show. That was all that was good apart from the lovely lady on reception who was friendly and helpful. The room was very average and tired looking. The fridge all wobbly, bathroom below average.

Brilliant. Great location excellent staff and very nice clean and quiet accommodation. Could not ask for anymore a bit of an older style accommodation but for the price you could not go wrong everyone is different.

Budget style accommodation suitable for those putting location ahead of comfort. Pros: location - close to everything, stunning views, old kitchen well equipped, friendly staff. Cons: with a mix of hotel and permanent residents, the residents smoke inside. Our apartment had a constant stream of cigarette smoke coming through from internally the entire time. We left with sore throats and not much sleep, this ruined our stay. Decor and fixtures dated, bed very uncomfortable, couch left our clothes covered in black fragments as it disintegrated each time we sat on it. I'd recommend the Beachcomber for those on a budget who wouldn't be spending much time there but want a location close to Cavill Mall.

We stayed at the beachcomber for one night, after our original booking of 3 nights. The hallways smelt musty and old which certainly gave me a heads up of the room I was about to walk in to. The room was old, out dated and dirty. The couch was so filthy we refused to sit on it, we laid clothes over our pillows to attempt to sleep on the old beds and the cups were so dirty we sterilised them with boiling water before using. The curtains were covered in mysterious marks and the pool had filth on the walls. We found out the apartments are all individually owned and use photos from the superior rooms on websites. I've stayed in better backpackers. On a plus side the staff were so understanding and lovely. Wouldn't recommend.

Very friendly & helpful staff greeted us on arrival. The resort is in a Great location close to beach shops & restaurants. We had a wonderful clean & modern room with excellent views. We would not hesitate to stay here again next time we are on the Gold Coast.

This place is in serious need of a refurb. The location is excellent being less than a block from the beach and 2 blocks from the heart of Surfers. The staff were very helpful and friendly as well. The price, location and staff are reasons to stay here but if you're looking for a luxurious room with all the mod-con's, keep searching. We also had issues with their billing and I'm still waiting for our refund on over-charges.
