Arrived late which was fine because our keys where in a safe box. Lovely basic 2 bedroom apartment for 5 people. We called ahead to ask re the sofa bed which was confirmed weeks before hand. The sofa bed was padlocked, with no extra bedding/ towels. We called the emergency number and left a message. Someone called and was concerned about extra payment not being given for the 5 person when it had been pre arranged. They managed to sort this out after a few hours. The rest of the weekend went well. Great location.
Literally across the road from all of Broadbeach's cafes and restaurants and a block from the beach, this is a perfect place for those seeking quality accommodation at a reasonable price. I stayed in a basic room (not an apartment style room) but at then end of the day, it serviced the needs I required for my short stay. It will definately be in my mind for my next trip up to the Gold Coast
Perfect for my needs. Simple, clean, short walk to the Expo, staff very accommodating with extending parking and flexible checkout arrangements due to my odd hours (exhibitor). Really took the stress out of being in town on business. Location was also excellent for restaurants, beach, cafe and tram, all an easy stroll. Thank you!
It was a disappointing experience when after booking a studio room for the weekend I had booked this through the accommodation website and had added as a comment please can I have a lower floor apartment as I was recovering from a leg injury. When I arrived I was told they had received no comment. It did not matter that I had the comment printed out. I was given an option of paying more money. I was not happy with the customer service and I did not feel there was an satisfactory apology. To make matters worse, when checking in we were told the wrong stairwell so that we climbed four levels only to find we were given misinformation and had to go down and back up the correct stairwell. This made for a negative start to our stay. The fact that the comments were disregarded was concerning. This should be addressed for better running of this accommodation.
Perfectly located at the head of the main drag. Especially for the Bluesfest and free parking. Fabulous self-contained with washing machine, dryer and dishwasher. One stage set up right outside. Restaurant vouchers available.
To start with my mother in law booked two units. The unit for her and her husband was just ok and regrettably the did stay there for the whole time The original unit for my husband, son and I smelt extremely stale, the second unit lasted one night as the bed they offered for our son was a sofa bed (which he fell down the back of) in the lounge, leaving nowhere for us to relax, hence we moved out the next day. When my father in law spoke to management regarding a refund for the 4 days we didn't stay, the manager said take it up with Booking.com ( personally it was his problem not booking.com) we are now $670.50 out of pocket, thanks for nothing. Not only did they refuse a refund they took the balance of our payment one day before we arrived. We have used booking.com many a time but have never had such an experience as we did this time. Hardly any bench space in kitchen as microwave took up most of it, all appliances and surfaces were filthy. Sofa at such an angle to the TV you had to sit on an angle. When we arrived there was a towel over one of the chairs around the pool and it was still there when my mother and father in law left a week later. Hopefully the pool was cleaned every day, but I highly doubt it.
We arrived after hours and the key lift worked well. We were so happy with our little unit which had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. It is an older style but this had no bearing on us and it was the facilities in the room we enjoyed. We made good use of sitting on the balcony each afternoon and found the location to be perfect for stepping out to tea. This was the best priced unit we could find (which happened to coincide with a Supernova Comic Con event in town, and we just loved being so central to enjoy the goings on outside the gate. Parking was easy and convenient. Noise wasn't an issue for us. Thanks for a great stay!
I stayed here for 3 nights recently while attending Supanova Gold Coast at the Convention Centre. Literally everything I could want was in a 5 minute walk - restaurants, cafes, fast food, Woolworths, public transport, beach, parks, everything! Check in was smooth, staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was nice - open, roomy, great bed, nice roomy bathroom, great kitchenette - honestly, no flaws! I will stay there again without a doubt.
We stayed at Aruba Beach Resort for 4 nights. It is an older style resort but it was clean and neat. The gardens are lovely and pool area is clean and very inviting. The owners were very friendly and made our stay enjoyable. The resort is in an amazing part of Broadbeach. Central to many restaurants only a few steps away. 5 min walk to a patrolled beach. 10 min walk to the casino. Loved the area and will definitely stay again.
My friends and I stayed here for 2 night's in a 2 bedroom apartment. It seems the place has been recently renovated so it was fresh with modern furniture and amenities. Good points are that it is close to everything. The shops, restaurants, beach and casino. Our room had a kitchen so we could prepare food if needed. There were also had heaps of channels available on foxtel, something I don't often see. Downsides are that the beds were really hard, the noise outside during the night was constant (can't be helped with the central location) and the car parks are tiny. After reading previous reviews online I wasn't expecting much but I was definitely pleasantly surprised.
