This hotel is not up to par for a holiday inn express. Our bathroom was literally rotting away. The tile was coming up in places, the wallpaper was coming off the wall, and the bathtub creaked like it was going to fall through the floor when you took a shower. We have stayed in a lot of holiday inn express hotels and this was by far he worst.
Bad experience rooms are dirty staff could care less
I had issues with my room and feel that I deserve a partial refund on my stay. We slept well and the breakfast was good but there were 3 things that might deserve a discount 1. The Jacuzzi was not working 2. The pull-out couch cushions were damp (not the mattress)3) there was a ton of black hair on the shower walls (and I was the 1st in the shower)
Love it there! Close to everything! Very clean, and friendly staff!
Had an amazing stay. Hotel was close to Glenwood Caverns and the Hot Springs
I was told upon check in there would be a $25 hold on my card for incidentals. When I got home, there was a $25 hold and then showed an additional $75 charge. When I called the hotel, the manager told me there shouldn't have been an additional $75 hold and that since nothing was spent at the hotel she would refund me $100. A few days later I see a charge that went through for $100. After getting Manuela on the phone with my bank, she argued that it was a refund (even tho my bank was telling her they saw that it was NOT a refund, that no refund was in process). She even told my bank they were not being honest with me. The only way I can get my money back now is to file a dispute with my bank, taking another 3-5 days to get this money back as Manuela refused to refund. I spent over 45 minutes of my time between calling the hotel immediately and trying to get this fixed, and then having to spend more time on the phone with my bank AND Manuela at the same time. The hassle of this will keep me from ever staying at this hotel again.
Nice hotel... Walking distance from hot springs pool
We found the staff, the location and the stay to be very pleasant the beds were comfortable and clean. Both my wife and I were amused that the pillow cases labeled pillows as firm or soft. The breakfast was hearty, and worth getting up for. I appreciated finding some USA Todays available, and enjoyed simply sitting and enjoying the morning.
I think this is a very good, quite, pleasant hotel.
The location is good for most things, walk to dinner, the park, the river and the caverns tram. The Friendly staff and decent breakfast was a good start to the day. The pool was tiny and super cold, but you are going to the hot springs anyway. The walls are thin, you hear every halfway conversation. Overall, it was worth the money and better than most the area hotels from my experience.
We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in many cities and they are usually great. This stay was not however. It started with dirty sheets on the bed and the smell of cigarette smoke in the bathroom. The stay was topped off by the fire alarm going off at 1:30am due to a malfunction. We ended up cutting our trip short because of all the issues we had. We will use holiday inn express again most likely, but this was not a good experience.
What a great spot, so close to my favorite place ever, the glenwood hot springs!! Free breakfast with gluten free options, nice rooms with clean comfy bed. Perfect location, and nice staff.
Had a pretty good stay here. Staff was great. Got a different room with no problem after they first gave me a smoking room. My only complaint about the room was that the A/C was so loud it woke me up a few times throughout the night, but that's not a deal breaker for me. Hotel is very close (walking distance)to the tram to the glenwood caverns, but not walking distance to the hot spring pool. Good variety for the free breakfast in the morning, hot and cold items.
Really nice staff. Great breakfast with lots of good options.
Location and staff were pleasent. The room was clean and tidy. I would have rated higher but they had issues checking us out of the hotel.
The hotel was exactly what we wanted: a place that was affordable and wasn't terrible. It was perfectly sufficient. The only turn off was the bathtub seemed to be falling apart (the lining was flaking off).
Close to the hot pools - rooms and amenities average but decent for the price.
The fridge didn't work and there was no maintenance staff available to fix it, and the pool was closed for maintenance. It was, however, relatively inexpensive and still within walking distance form the hot springs pool.
Breakfast was very poor from what we were used to with Holiday Inn. Looks great from the outside and lobby. Room on second floor was loud and not as nice as other Holiday Inn Expresses
Linen on beds felt like sand paper, could not get a good night sleep. towels were so rough felt like it was rubbing your skin off.POOL WAS NOT OPEN. could not use the back door because the batteries were dead. breakfast was not that great. So on a scale 1 to 10 we give it a 2
