The location was excellent, right off 81 and near plenty of stores if you want to pick up a snack or meal before or after checking in. There was no issue with cleanliness and we were very pleased not to smell smoke as this is a 100% smoke free venue. Red Roof Inns accept dogs for free which is a plus. Our room was large and the bed fine for an overnight stop. The wifi was not working very well in the room. It kept cutting out and we had to stand near the door to get a decent signal. It did come on and off but this disconnecting was annoying. Also the motel is NOT WELCOMING in the breakfast area. There are signs posted about not opening the refrigerator and not removing breakfast from the area. We have been traveling on and off all summer and this was the WORST breakfast we ever had--believe me, no one will pilfer your stale bread and rotten bananas. I realize some people are hogs and will take more than their share of the offerings but this breakfast was absolutely inedible. Having the clerk glare at us as we ate and make sure we didn't feel welcome made me leave after 10 minutes. I'm glad on the way back to NY we stayed in Carlisle at the Red Roof Inn instead. (Note: much nicer staff and excellent cold breakfast) When in Central PA, go there instead.

Yash, (first name), the new owner of the Inn was very welcoming and helpful and is obviously keen to make the hotel comfortable for the guests. The inn is very "tidy" and well run. It is very convenient right off 81 and is quiet, despite being in the mall area and near the highway. This is our second stay there.

I was very impressed with this place. Will definitely stay here again. Was recently renovated. The new owners are great at customer support - the little things mattered with us! Brought our dog, changed to a downstairs room, updated bathroom fixtures, everything clean.

We stayed for 2 nights at the Red Roof Inn again and certainly were not dissappointed! We stayed with our 2 cats and had a room with a king bed, non smoking. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very limited (but there is a Dennys right next door :) We will definitely stay again!

This is a bottom of the barrel hotel. It was 61 dollars a night. We were given a 2nd and a half floor room. No elevator, I had to negotiate a flight of stairs where I believe the treads are to narrow. We had our Dachshund with us so carrying was mandatory. Then there was another half flight of stairs. This was definitely an issue with caring for the dog. The room and sheets appeared clean . Everything looked run down and old. The toilet did not flush properly. The entry door was not square with the opening and didn't feel secure. Ee jad to run the hot water for ten minutes before it warmed up. The breakfast was a bagel and watered down coffee. We did not feel secure. I won't recommend this place. Spring for another 25 dollars and have peace of mind. Red Roof, 3 strikes and you are now off my list.

Although the they say they are "pet" friendly, be prepared for a hassle if you are traveling with a service dog. Staff needs to know the laws pertaining to service animals. Getting hassled while trying to go to breakfast is not a great way to start the day. To avoid the hassle I wanted to take breakfast back to the room but that was not allowed. PLEASE educate your staff on the difference between a pet and a service animal. I am giving the stay 3 stars because the rooms were clean and good value. A real response to this versus a canned "we will look in to it" would be greatly appreciated.

1st time here, clean room, owner was helpful. I asked for Military discount, he asked why, so i explained to him the reasons to help Veterans. Showed my VA disability ID. Gave me a good discount. He said in the future he would advertise the Military discount. Just ask you never know. Overall clean,friendly,plenty of parking,continental breakfast, good staff. That's all.

My first stay at a Red Roof Inn and was very pleasantly surprised. My pet friendly room was VERY clean, quiet and on the first floor as I requested. My dog's ball rolled under the bureau and there was not a spot of dust when I moved it to retrieve her ball. I would definitely recommend and will be making it my yearly choice as I drive North. I never give a 5 star rating as there is always some room for improvement.

The pet friendly room was clean and on the first floor. Just off the highway... so highway cars and trucks could be heard. A few blocks to a shopping mall and nearby dinner and breakfast. Continental breakfast was included. $3 more than Motel 6 at the same exit.

We stayed at the Red Roof Inn on our way down to Florida November 1916. We usually stay at La Quinta but it was under reno and not yet opened. We would not stay at Red Roof again, It was at best adequate, 1. The back door was open and we had the uneasy feeling that anyone could enter 2. This creepy Manager kept hovering around us at breakfast and gave us the feeling that we were not "welcome". Husband asked for decaf coffee and he said "it is a waste of time for me to supply decaf no one drinks it and I have to pour out coffee".. We returned to La Quinta in April 2017 on our trip back North,. We wouldn't even consider going back to Red Roof!
