Updated with new bathroom, furniture, carpets. Room was clean. Pleasant stay with our small dog. Was under impression you could not leave your dog alone in room and we heard a dog barking in the late afternoon, early evening. Fortunately, dog did not bark during the night. Very helpful desk clerk. Recently stayed at another Red Roof Inn in Virginia, very very disappointing. The one in Chambersburg was 100 times better.
This motel is very accommodating... The Continental breakfast is in a very clean area and the staff are all helpful whether looking for local attractions or a good place to eat. I recommend anyone traveling in the area to stay here.
Nice and comfortable place to stay.... very nice and friendly staff... easy on the pockets. Close to 81 and many restaurants and shopping facilities. If your looking for a competitive place to stay this is the place... clean and well maintained as well.
The rooms where nice and the stuff where very nice. The price where good. Close to other stores and place to eat. Good water pressure and the water gets nice and hot. It is very quiet u get good night sleep.
Cleanest room I have been in. Walking distance to beer store shopping centers and restaurants also looks to have room for a few semis. Employees are helpful and changed reservations around for me when I needed more nights👌👍
Front desk. Great. Cleaning lady. Great. Best bang for your buck. Clean. Friendly & helpful when you need it. Super gave me and my coworkers bed bugs. Been here ever since. Not going anywhere else but here
During a Chambersburg visit I booked a room with the Red Roof. It was classified as an economy lodging, but when I arrived the rooms said otherwise. The decor was up to date, the bed was very comfortable, hot water for a shower was plentiful, and it was peaceful. My only negative experience was the lack of WiFi connection. Their connection to the Access Point (AP) was down not allowing me internet access. I did run diagnostics on my computer, and it was their AP not allowing the connection. When I returned from dinner I did not see anyone in the front to ask about the connection. I do not play the blame game, so I have to take owness and say I did not press connectivity requirements when I checked in. The last thing to say is that the manager did mention how I could get a better rate by going through them directly for my military discount. He also seemed very proud of the restaurant choices available for his guests.
We stayed here back over Memorial day in 2017 with our two dogs. The person at the front desk was very helpful. They gave us a few coupons to a local place to eat and told us where we could walk our dogs. The room was very comfortable and felt like home. The bathroom was large. The overall experience was so good that we booked it again for this coming Sept.
Our room was very clean, had recently been gupdated, and we got a great night's rest as the bedding was really comfortable! We travel on a budget and had been to two other Red Roof Inns on this particular trip and this one by far was the best!! Very friendly and polite owner/manager...will definitely stop here again!!!
I stayed here as a stop on my way down the east coast, with my two dogs. RRI recently changed their official policy on the number of dogs per room to one--which a pain for those of us traveling to do dog sports, because none of us has only one dog--my third was at home. However, like many RRIs, this one didn't;t look too carefully or say very much and since my dogs are well behaved, that was appreciated. So was the effort of the front desk person, who upon hearing that I had mistakenly missed my free night reservation, gave me a discount on the room I had that night. Still, the room was not worth the price. This is a remodeled RRI and they paid most attention to the bathrooms (based on my room), which was really nice. The room was a different story. The carpet was in okay shape, the walls were splotchy giving the room a dirty feel, and this was reinforced by a splotchy ceiling with what looked like leaky water stains here and there on it. So if this has been my free night it would have been fine, having had to pay $65.00 was not worth it. Next time I will stay up the road at the LQ, where I have stayed numerous times, and is only a little more money for a lot nicer hotel.
