Good location right off the exit. Staff was very pleasant with ck in and when we asked for extra linens. Room was clean. Overall hotel in much need of repair. Noticed musty smell in the hallway even if they had the window at the end open. For the price and our need to stay cheap it was what it was. Just know that you get what u pay for.
Double Queen room. First the plusses: Very pleasant check in persons. Two bars of soap, two pillows per bed, a hair dryer, grab bar in the bathtub/shower; small fridge and microwave; a safe ; nice big desk with office chair, good TV reception, coffee in lobby ( not the room) and close to I-81. That's it. The negitatives : The base of the toilet had hair and "yellow" dripping on one side, like it hadn't been properly cleaned in months ; towels had stains; bathroom wall paper was pealing; bath floor was sticky. Dryer cord was thick with grime. No shampoo, conditioner or lotion. The mattress wasn't bad, but was old with an added layer of padding so you couldn't feel the springs; bed skirt was torn; one pillow case had big stains - like someone had walked on it with dirty shoes; this was August and they had a heavy faux down comforter on the bed who's filling had shifted into lumps. There was no clock or radio; no ironing board or iron. Furniture was worn but functioned. The whole place needed some sprucing up. And, finally, there was no breakfast. In summary : The dirt and stained linens grossed me out, but the lack of amenities didn't bother me. You get what you pay for. I'll probably avoid Motel 6's in the future.
Booked last minute, had intended to camp for a night but forecast called for thunder storms. Because of party size ( 2 adults 4 kids) got 2 rooms for $128. Was expecting worse based on some of the reviews. Check in quick, polite. 1 of our non smoking rooms smelled of smoke (a rule breaker - not motels fault) they quickly changed rooms for us. Rooms have microwave, safe, mini fridge. Bath decent size. Whole property could use a good cleaning but not a deal breaker for price. Pool decent. Star rating is to compare to other budget motels. Right off highway but surprisingly no traffic noise in rooms.
Got a king suite on the second floor. The room wasn't bad at all especially considering the price. Not bad at all for a night. The hotel has a nice outdoor pool area and is close to a lot of activities and shopping.
It was a disappointment from the very start. As soon as we got there, we had to wait about a half hour for the front desk clerk to show up. Once he showed up, I let him know we had reservations and wanted to check in. Granted it was around 1pm and I figured housekeeping was finishing up their days work but since there were so few cars there, I thought would could still get in. As we were giving him our information, there were two walk ins that came in. He told us that he could not get us a room right now and we would have to wait. He moved on to the two walk ins, took their information and I expected him to tell them they too would have to wait. To my surprise, he gave them both room keys. Once we finally got our room keys, on our way to the rooms we noticed that the trash cans were full, the lobby area was filthy, the hallways were littered with trash on the floors and the decor seemed dated. Once we got in the room it was no better. I got in the shower and when I placed my shampoo on the corner shelf, it came apart. The ceramic piece was just sitting in place and as soon as I placed my bottle of shampoo on it, it fell and hit my foot. Fortunately it was not the sharp edge that hit my foot. I could have put the piece back the way I found it because it fit so nice and neatly and you could not see the crack, but instead I took it to the front desk. They did not offer to move us to another room, they did not apologize and did not seem the least bit concerned about it. The chairs in the rooms were missing the arm rest cushions. The fridge did not get very cold. Just as a heads up, they do not have an elevator either so you have to take the stairs if you are not on the first floor. Hallways and stairwells do not have air conditioning and are warm. Tom Bodett may want to take a look at this establishment.
This motel was located 30 mins the Gettysburg battlefield and 30 mins from the Antietam battlefields and Harpers Ferry. The motel itself was pretty decent. We had adjoining rooms which was great for our family. The kids loved the pool! It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The pillows were a bit small but they did the job. There were plenty of places to eat close by. The staff was very pleasant to deal with. We stayed three nights and had party of 8. With no complaints :) thanks for a great stay!
This used to be a Quality Inn. Is quite old and dated, however fairly clean. The King room was very spacious. Getting room temperature comfortable is a bit of a chore, and unit is rather noisy. Bed was comfortable, lacking pillows. Three small ones are not enough. Loyal Order of Moose Lodge next door. Fast food dining walkable, casual dining across highway. Pharmacy and grocery stores, as well as department stores within one mile.
I have stayed here for 6 weeks and I like this place. The hotel is old and the carpet is old and no breakfast is served. But the price and location is what I like. The hotel is located near stores and restaurants. The room doesn't have good or many outlets but I like the room and bed OK.
People need to know that most of the reviews for this hotel are for the previous hotel, the Quality Inn. These reviews DO NOT apply to this place by any stretch of the imagination! The 2017 reviews must have been done by people that stayed in some other part of the hotel. Certainly NOT in the part we stayed in. First off, it was very apparent that the person at the front desk was NOT happy to be waiting on us. He never once cracked a smile. Once we got our room, after walking through a dirty hallway, we opened the door to find the tv on. I tried calling the front desk to see if we had the right room but no one ever answered. We found out later that the cable co. was working on the tvs. The room was dated but mostly clean. The bathroom was not sparkling clean but seemed clean. Problems with the sink drain and the tub drain. Also, the light switch did not work so we had to turn the bulbs off to go to sleep. The only bright spot is that the linens seemed clean and the bed was very comfortable. Again, the "half pillows". If you are not a fan, do as I do, and carry your own. I hope this trend does not continue. We also noticed some shady characters around and the side door was kept unlocked by a stone. Not very good security. There is NO breakfast even though it still carries the other chain's wording about breakfast. Overall, this is not the best choice for one night or many nights. We would not return. w
My husband booked 2 rooms for our party of four without my input and without looking at reviews. I'm not gonna lie, I was skeptical. But it was fine. The desk clerk was sweet, changing our rooms to be together then switching us again when I ask to be away from both stairwell and ice machine. The room was clean, the beds fine, the water hot, the shower pressure good, fridge cold. The boy's room did smell a little of smoke. But it clearly was marked non-smoking. So you can check that up the butthead who didn't obey the rules. Was it old? Yup. Was the hallway carpet a bit long in the tooth? Yup. Would I want to spent a week long vacation there? Nope. For an overnight. Absolutely. Maybe two nights. The noise was non-existent. I do think you should ask to be on the back side. I can see where the front side just yards form I-81 would be much louder. There's plenty of places to eat. I recommend going "downtown" to eat. Lots of eclectic little places. I didn't know the Revolutionary War connection the area had.
