Good hotel. Everything perfect except for the hot water had low pressure in my room.

i enjoyed my stay in town, and the hotel was quite close to public tranportation and the the main central station. a lot of good restaurants around the hotel and a quiet neiborhood.

Arrived early in the morning after an overnight flight from the States. Even though it was 6 or 7 hours before check in they gave me a room. Ordinarily there is an additional charge for early or late check in, but the desk clerk said they weren't busy so they would just give me the room. All of the staff -- desk clerks, housekeeping, breakfast person, et al were courteous, friendly and helpful. I've stayed in the Hotel Kipling before and will certainly do the same on the next trip to Geneva.

Hotel rooms are comfortable and spacious (especially by Geneva standards). Ample desk space and outlets. Very good wifi (and its free). Great location. Just off the main Rue de Lusanne and easy walk to Cornavin station. Wide variety in the breakfast spread (but a bit pricey as is usual in Geneva.). The rooms on the front along Rue de la Navigation can be a bit noisy due to garbage trucks early in the morning....suggest to request a room on the back side if possible. Otherwise, great value for the money.

About three blocks walk to the train station, and about for blocks to Lake Lemon. Nice room.

Nothing spectacular, but a clean, modern, well-run hotel in a good location for those in Geneva for international meetings. Consistent with other Manotel properties, with free wi-fi and overpriced breakfasts; helpful, friendly staff.

I stayed at the Kipling Manotel for a weekend while visiting friends in Geneva. I really liked that it was a quick walk from the Cornavin train station, which made the trip from the airport much cheaper than by cab (CHF 4 vs. CHF 30). At night, the area around the hotel does get a little sketchy; the walk home from dinner was a little scary by myself. Also, the electrical plugs didn't work for my computer cord, which was European, though it did work for my phone. Very odd. My room was warm, and the air conditioning didn't work, but I was able to open the window and it was a quiet and not a problem. The rooms were spacious, the bathroom very nice, and the hairdryer was quite powerful, aside from the annoying "hold-down the button the whole time" feature that is common everywhere in Europe. The hotel is very close to the lake, and the rest of the sights are walkable, as well. The U.N. and Red Cross are a bit far, but if you're up for the walk, it's not bad. The staff were very nice, and as a reminder - the city tax is payable on check out, but you do get a free transport pass when you arrive (handy when going back to the airport via train). I definitely recommend as a safe and relatively affordable option for all trips, with the exception of business.

The staff was very helpful with directions on how to get around and with anything we needed. They spoke English very well. Loved the theme for the hotel. The breakfast was very good and inexpensive for Geneva. I would definitely stay here again.

Our itinerary left us in Geneva for a single night. We picked the Manotel Kipling for its location near the train station and within an easy walk of the lake. Old town Geneva was also within an easy 15-20 minute walk. Despite being 300-400m from the train station the hotel was pleasantly quiet. We felt completely comfortable and safe walking in the neighborhood at night. We did not actually experience the amenities so they were only rated as Average/Ordinary.

Just two easy-rolling blocks from the train station, on a quiet pedestrian street. Short walk to the lakefront, cafes etc. Hotel is stylish, well-appointed with modern conveniences like an elevator, A/C, kettle, HD TV and free wireless. Good full breakfast and a pot of coffee. Good value for Geneva.

wonderful staff, beautiful clean spacious room, very modern and comfortable. walk to lake and old town in a few minutes. train stating 3 blocks. quiet street. Terrific place, and MUCH cheaper than most.

Two nights in Geneva, Kipling Manotel. -Before leaving the airport baggage claim area, get a *free* train ticket at a dispenser against the wall. Use the free ticket to take the train from the airport to the Geneva City Center train station. Otherwise I think it's a 5 CHF charge outside at the train station. -The hotel is an easy 3 block walk from the train station. -Check in with the tourist information desk at the airport. The person at the desk was very helpful in providing maps, directions to the train station and info about which train to catch. -At hotel check-in we were provided with a "free" transportation card for any public transport within Geneva. There is a required hotel per person fee which covers this "free" transport card so you get charged this fee whether or not you use the transport card.

Wife and I stayed one night after a business trip in Chamonix. Very nice room and great bathroom with big tub. Had early morning flight, so great that it was close to train station (10 minute ride to airport).

We were there for one night. We arrived early in the morning from an overnight flight and the front desk was able to give us a room in a short period of time. The front desk was very helpful. It was a very good location for picking up a rental car.

Just perfect. Including free internet, but no breakfast included (at least in our package). Many hotels have their restaurants as separate entities. They offer breakfast as any restaurant would and charge well for that. The hotel itself, of course, is not that cheap.

We arrived hours before check-in time, but they had a room ready for us anyway. The lobby was compact but very attractive and welcoming. The front desk was very friendly and helpful, the room decor was quite charming and the bathrooms were oversized and chic. Located a few short blocks from Lake Geneva and in the same neighborhood as the "upscale" hotels at double the price. If you're willing to sacrifice a bit on room size, the tradeoff is well worth it. Will happily return if we're ever in Geneva again...

It was a really nice clean hotel, but not in the best area. Great for the price though!

Wish we could have this room wherever we traveled. Appointments were lovely. Large window opened inward at a slant for fresh air. Bed and bedding extremely comfortable. Bathroom gorgeous, towels big and fluffy, digital bathroom scale, and toiletries excellent (including shower cap, Q-tips and makeup remover pads). The front desk was wonderful. Answered all of our questions, even helped print out our boarding passes.
