This is a very modern hotel located near the Barcelona airport and on a beautiful beach. The hotel has very nice pool area but no exercise area. For 12 Euros you can exercise next door at an exercise facility. The next door exercise facility is excellent and well worth the fee..The rooms are clean and Seaside rooms offer an outstanding view of the Sea. The rooms have an oversized comfortable bathtub. For some reason, the hotel offers only one English television channel even though a substantial portion of the clientele is English speaking. There is no in-room coffee but for 10 Euros you can have a tea maker but no coffee..There is no shuttle to and from the airport. Breakfast is not included for Marriott Elite members. Breakfast is approximately 10-15 Euros. The staff is very helpful and friendly. You will pay at least 35 Euros by taxi to the center of Barcelona and about 20 Euros to the airport.

Stayed here our last night in Spain because of its proximity to the airport. We frequent Marriott properties when traveling and we're not disappointed. There is some age to the property but the staff was very friendly. The rooms were quiet and beds were comfortable. The grounds and pool area were very nice.

We knew that this hotel was a short distance from city center before we booked our reservation, but it was perfect match for our needs and what we wanted to spend. The good news about the location is that you're at the hotel within 10 minutes from leaving the airport and when it's time to check out the journey to the airport is quick. Most of our time was spent in town at the harbor/waterfront, Las Ramblas, La Sagrada Familia, Gaudi Park/Estate, Castell Mont Juic & Tramway, Monumental Zone of Park Güell , Museums, Goth District and flamenco Dance/Dinner Show near the Textile Museum at the Palau Reial de Pedralbes. For transportation we took advantage of the shuttle in front of the hotel which took us to the train station and from the the city was our for the taking. Public transportation was very reliable and efficient. We went out most every night except a few nights we stayed in the hotel and enjoyed the outdoor dinners served by the pool under the stars. In the mornings we enjoyed the local selection of coffee at the breakfast bar in the lobby. The oversized lobby with vaulted ceiling is spacious and comfortable to enjoy with your laptop. The hotel was very clean and staff accommodating.

I stayed here for nearly a week during MWC and it was a very pleasant stay. The hotel is a little away from the main city, but that just adds to the calmness. Situated right at the beach, with a great view of the ocean facing rooms, its ideal for a nice stroll along the beach. The breakfast spread is decent and there is a very nice Spanish restaurant next door as well !

I was literally in this hotel for 7 hours to sleep before an early flight. Check in was easy and friendly. The room was beautiful, modern and clean. I opened the window to see the waves rolling in and hear the ocean. I wish I had arrived earlier to be able to enjoy the water. This is a ten min. Ride to the airport by taxi. The hotel will call a taxi for you and ours was right on time at 5am. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I went for a relaxing vacation, and that's what we got. The room was very clean and the staff was very nice. We went for several 4 km walks along the beach and checked out restaurants. I loved the pool, it was so relaxing and a nice big size.

On the plus side this hotel is in a nice quiet location next to beach! But that is all! It is not a particularly nice neighbourhood. Lots of intimidating characters hanging around outside, and in lobby when we arrived at 8pm. The construction of the hotel is very poor! I could hear the neighbouring room and hallway very clearly! The snoring was very clear, even the neighbour turning over in bed was audible! The conversation on his 3am telephone call was completely clear too. Very poor, and not standards I associate with Marriott! Do not stay here if you expect a good sleep!

I've stayed here for 1 night in a business trip. It's a modern building literally located in the beach, and not only that but it also has a big outdoor pool, surrounded by nicely decorated common areas. The check-in was smooth, the front-desk staff friendly and professional. Regarding the room, it was comfortable, well decorated and spacious as you can see in the pictures. And most important, very clean. The amenities on the other hand were average. One thing that surprised me is that there is no free WiFi in the rooms. I asked the front-desk staff about the password and they told me that the service had a fee. No other options. I use to travel at least twice a month, and I can tell this is the only one hotel I've stayed in that doesn't offer free WiFi to its guests. I found this issue so old fashion, being in 2017 and since the internet connection is really affordable, specially for a hotel. Overall I would recommend this hotel, although it has room to improve.

staff very friendly. Room large and clean. breakfast is hearty and satisfactory. the sea is very close. outdoor pool. service in a bar a little lame because it was necessary to look for a waiter always.

Great hotel with a modern design and a friendly front desk staff. The rooms are very comfortable. The sea view from the room is awesome. With direct access to the beach right in front of the hotel and an outside pool, this hotel is a perfect spot to enjoy summer on the Mediterranean. Conviently located near the airport with a free highway to Gava Mar from Barcelona, the property is right in the middle of the beach town. A local bakery store "Granier", in walking distance, offers less expensive breakfast options than the pricey one at the hotel. A very nice restaurant, "Terreon", with excellent food and a great choice of wines is also in walking distance of the AC Hotel. Overall a great property! The two main criticisms in my view are the underground parking garage and the air traffic. If you have a car, Beware! In July and August, to park outside can be very difficult to say the least. Underground parking is available at a fee but the parking spaces are very tight... So be extra careful especially with a large car. Also being as close as it is to El Prat - Barcelona airport, expect to see a plane flying close/over the property every 10/15 mins or so. It could be unnerving for some.!! Other than that, I can't recommend it enough!
