We have time stamped photos showing the unsanitary/dirty bedding (hair covered bedding, hair and stain on sheets), filthy floors, and hair on bathtubs. Spoke to Amur after inspecting the rental upon check-in. He asserted that he was outraged. Offered us a refund of the first night of rental and asked for a chance to 'make it right'. Promised he would address the following: 1) replace the filthy bedding on all beds - we asked for all sheets, blankets, and comforters to be replaced as all had small human hairs, some stains, etc. and were disgustingly unsanitary. Clearly beds had simply been made and not cleaned after last renters left. Tried to find extra blankets to use - when we unfolded them - they too were covered with hair and were clearly re-folded and not actually cleaned 2) Vacuum and mop the filthy floors on all levels that had piles of food substances and miscellaneous tissue wads, etc. on hardwood stair cases and bedroom floors. 3) Clean accumulated hair on the ledges of the bathtub shower. Of note: we have photos of all of these unacceptably unclean areas and sent him a full video and photos to ensure he understood. He was outraged on the phone as well as via text. He assured us he would personally supervise the clean as we let him know the rental was absolutely unacceptable and that we only stayed because there were no vacancies anywhere nearby, it was almost midnight, and we had driven 6 hours. The following morning we spoke again - he reiterated his dissatisfaction with the cleaning crew and assured us he would personally ensure all of the issues were remedied. Long story short, I have photographic documentation that the floors and furniture were not vacuumed, the tub/shower was not cleaned, and only sheets were replaced. The stained/ hair covered comforters were placed back on each of the beds. By the time we returned, we were too late to find another rental and had honestly believed him when he 'gave us his word' that he would supervise the clean and take care of all of the issues so clearly documented. Understand that he did not. For the cost of this rental, and given the sensitivity toward Covid protocols, we are beyond shocked and sickened at the lack of cleanliness in this rental, and the dishonesty of the host. When I sent him photos proving that nothing had been cleaned as had promised, he offered to go check the rental out after we left. He will not address the failure to clean the unit or a refund.
