Fun family vacay

This cabin was perfect for our multigenerational family. We couldn’t have asked for a better view. It was the perfect amount of space needed for us to spread out and gather. Being just minutes away from over Gatlinburg made it even more fun. It truly was a delightful stay and we hope to return soon

Cabin In The Sky

We chose to stay here to accommodate the 9 people in our group. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short due to an incoming snow storm, but the time we did spend at this property was enjoyable. The Good: As other reviews suggest, the views from the property are simply unmatched. You have a direct view of the ski slopes at Ober. I’ve stayed in many properties in the Smokies and this is likely the top of the list. Even if you don’t lounge on the spacious deck, you’ll be able to enjoy the views through the large windows inside. Plenty of room for large groups or families, there’s plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen is nicely updated, and there is plenty of activities for both kids and adults (pool table, hot tub, arcade games). The property manager was extremely communicative and helpful both before and during our stay. Need to Consider: With the spectacular views means you need to maneuver through very tight mountain roads. Those scared of heights or not comfortable driving up very small roads beware! During our stay we encountered both foggy and rainy weather l, which added to the fun. The driveway is a monster in itself. You feel like you’re going to drive off the souse of the mountain. Although the bedrooms were spacious, the beds were very much on the hard side. The house itself was a bit outdated, but had character. Overall I’d recommend this lovely cabin to others!

Beautiful Cabin. When we arrived there was salt all over the dining room table. The bathrooms were dirty, mold in the caulk. The 1st floor bathroom tub and sink drain very very slow! Tub fills up with water as you are showering, there was a bag full of cloths in the main floor bedroom!? we left them there. However I would recommend this cabin based on the view and the quick response from the manager when we needed his help. Please beware of the driveway very steep.

Magical Cabin in the mountains

Wow, what a beautiful place. The view of Ober mountain slopes from the back deck is amazing. We had a bad storm pass thru during our stay, yet we enjoyed the fire, games and hot tub from the basement. Definitely an unforgettable vacation for our entire family!!

Not bad, but definitely not great.

Pros: *The living and dining rooms are very comfortable, though very outdated. *The owner was easy to work with in the beginning. *The view is beautiful. Cons: *The cabin is very high. I get motion sickness and got sick nearly every trip to/from the cabin because of the winding roads. Also, our brakes were smoking when we got parked. *We had 3 cars and the parking was challenging. Very steep driveway. *The cabin was not very clean, dust and cobwebs on the walls. *The first floor bath rugs looked like someone defacated on them and it had just been wiped off. *There was mold around the shower and NO bath mat or anti slip stickers. We had to go buy one. *The plumbing must be partially clogged because you stand in ankle deep water even during a quick shower. *The upstairs patio door didn’t lock. It took two of our guys to fix it. *The downstairs smells very mildewy and musty. *There wasn’t enough toilet paper, kitchen trash bags, hand soap, paper towel for a 5 day visit. We had to purchase all these items plus dishwasher pods. *The owner didn’t answer emails for help until 3 days later. Says it was VRBO issues. It may have been because he was easy to reach BEFORE we checked in. *House needs to updated. The decos are very 80’s and 90’s. *The kitchen and bathrooms are TINY. We will not be re-booking.

Amazing Views

The view from this property was amazing!!! We loved the spacious rooms and common areas but our favorite was the porch. We spent hours on the porch visiting and taking in the beauty around us, as well as, watching the bears! I his was the perfect house for our entire family of 12! Would stay here again!!

Gatlinburg cabin

We had such a great time and enjoyed our visit. Our cabin was amazing! Our view was beautiful and we saw bears almost every day we were there! It was so peaceful and relaxing and not far from all of the tourist things we wanted to do during the day. We definitely will be back hopefully for a longer stay next time!

Beautiful cabin with amazing views. Very clean. and spacious. The kids enjoyed a lot and it was one of the best cabins we have stayed at in Gatlinburg. We did have a few unexpected guests (cubs) but that added the additional excitement

Older property but clean and the view of Ober is really outstanding. The downstairs rec area is perfect for family to gather for games. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Driveway is not conducive for motorcycles too steep. Was not told that in advance. Downstairs bathroom needs to be remodeled. There are holes in drywall and mold present. Pictures need to be updated with current layout. 2 Beds are not in locations shown in pictures.

1257 Ski View Drive over-rated

Family of 10 adults and 2 children rented this property from July 2 to July 10, 2022. Numerous issues. Driveway is steep and narrow and in very poor condition. Hard to get in/out without scraping vehicle underside on pavement. View is not nearly as spectacular as touted due to overgrown trees blocking 75% of potentially spectacular view! New binoculars were mounted in spot with 90% of view blocked by vegetation. Bathrooms are outdated which is ok but there is black mold in places of all three. Heating/cooling system air vents are dirty. We were led to believe that there is a pool , playground area and workout facilities nearby but we were unable to locate any such services during our entire stay and there was no instructions or contact numbers to find answers. All beds were very uncomfortable according to all adult guests. Pool table in lower level is old, not level or flat, needs some extensive work to be adequate. I was looking for any reason to give this property a positive review but there were very few. I was told the gaming machine was awesome by others. There are /were plenty of bear encounters as many bears resided directly outside our quarters. Be careful as the bears WILL walk in unlocked doors. My brother-in-law and I wer sitting in our vehicle in the driveway and a bear opened the rear passenger door and stared us down until we yelled at it to leave. fortunately it left as quietly as it arrived. The bears sneak up on you! The worst part of this whole experience , however was not the accommodations, but poor service from our host Justin Anderson. I discovered that I had left my cell phone back at the rental property 6 hours into our home return trip of 12 hours and immediately tried to reach out to Justin via VRBB messaging when we arrived safely home. I also tried 3 times to reach out to the owners association with no return calls or other communications. It has been over onne and a half days since my first attempt with zero response from either. I left my home phone with both. I found Justins personal phone but he does noot answer iit and it is not accepting voicemail messages. These people are disgusting and do not have the common courtesy to let me know if they can help me or not. Conversely, before we actually rented the property , they were very quick to communicate with us and answer questions. My phone has lots of priceless family photos ,videos, e-mails, and other valuable info important to me and my family,

Bear land

Gorgeous location. Lots of bears sneaking around. 10 min to free pool. 8 min to tram lift. Good views. Cons are: no gas grill. Pieces of wood are super huge and it takes hours to make fire. Inside everything is super cheap made and already old. Overall good place to be lost from noisy city.
