Excellent hotel. Located in a great spot when travelling from County Clare tourist attractions to Galway and Connemara. The hotel is very up-to-date, clean, and efficiently run. . The staff was knowledgeable, professional and quick. The facilities first class enjoyed the restaurant breakfast buffet, the indoor pool, the easy parking and comfortable room.
The hotel was ok. The location was a bit off Galway city, but accessible all the same. Breakfast was ok - half buffet, half served. The staff are okay as well. I am however not very happy that the type of room I requested and allocated (non-smoking) was on the same wing as smoking rooms. One is inundated with stale tobacco-laden air when walking through the corridor. Sometimes, the stale tobacco-laden air do actually make its way into the room I was allocated, even though the room itself is non-smoking. My suggestion is that the whole wing should be left for smokers, or at least let the smokers' room be located together not intersperse with non-smoking. Non-smokers should not have to pass through the smokers corridors to get to the non-smoking room.. I hope my point is clear enough.
Although this is a very large hotel complex with all the extra amenities, I couldn't give it full marks as we are two adults, and the hotel appears to cater to families with small children. There don't seem to be any rules as to curfew for kids running up and down the halls, playing in the elevator and running in and out of the pub. The room was very clean and the staff helpful. I would have liked to know in advance the child policy, if there is one.
This is a new hotel in the style of an old elagant hotel and they did it right. The only downside was the location on a busy road at a round about made it difficult to get into the parking lot.
This was about 10 minutes outside of Galway City which was perfect for us. Easy to get to. The room was great and very comfortable. The price was good to. The hot tub was awesome.
The rooms aren't as nice as the Maldron in Dublin but it still clean and comfortable. It's just an older hotel than the one in Dublin (which is where we stayed the previous nights) Has great staff, a nice pool and lively bar. Easy to get in and out of. Free parking. Is a little way from Galway city. But good location for day trips in the area.
We had a very nice stay. Beds were comfortable, noise level was good and have no complaints. Just stayed overnight and came in late evening, so didn't really use any other ammenities.
