Booked through Orbitz and wanted the cheapest room available. The only thing available was a queen bed for $315. It turned out to be a queen bed condo..... When I asked the front desk the lady said that they had regular room available for way cheaper but I would have to cancel through Orbitz first, of course, it was coming to the same price to pay the cancellation fees and take the room than keeping the condo.... It was a bummer because we had to drive everywhere... back and forth multiple times to the main lodge to use the pool, paddle on the lake and eat..... The condo was decorated like my grandma's house 50 years ago.... it was clean and had everything needed to cook in if we would have known to bring food!

Nice views of the area. Older but very well maintained.

Hotel is slightly off the beaten path but it is a resort of course! I would recommend especially if you're staying in this area

The resort's staff went above and beyond! The spa did a wonderful job helping us relax with body rubs and facials.

We booked at the eagle ridge resort and it cost $785 for a 2 night stay at a 2-bedroom villa! When we checked in they gave us instructions to get to our villa. Turns out it was not in eagle ridge or in a villa. It was at the longhollow point inn which is owned by Hyatt!! It was not a villa - heck it was more of a small 2-bedroom apartment in a huge complex. The place was dated and amenities sucked. Pool was old and the gym was antique! Turns out eagle ridge owns 1 condo in that complex for their overflow. Great! So we overpaid for a place that we could have booked directly with hyatt for $300 cheaper!! What a rip-off! Furthermore, there was NO room services from Friday-Sunday!! Absolutely no room service - no fresh towels, no tidying up, nothing...and that is because Hyatt does not own that 1 condo and eagle ridge doesn't care once you check in.

Nice weekend escape resort. Great view and golf course, but the rooms seem to be a bit old and dark.

Great room for the price! Highly recommend going in the fall!

Excellent service with beautiful scenery. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We went here for Memorial Day weekend. You would easily need four days to spend quality time. It's a great place. Lots to do. The resort staff were fabulous too. Tip them well. U ll not be disappointed. The wait staff worked so hard through out the weekend. Small town great people.

Good family getaway. Nice ski resort near by. Variety of dining options in Galena

While the front desk staff was not particularly friendly or helpful when we inquired at check-in about a king room and possibly adding a night...neither happened...overall our visit was fine. Room was clean and well maintained and the setting was quite beautiful and convenient to downtown Galena

I enjoyed my stay at the Eagle Ridge. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. We rented mountain bikes from the hotel and hit the extensive trial system. That was fun! The only complaint is that I wish they had an outdoor pool.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprise at the accommodations of the villa at the Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa. It was like staying at a friend's house!

Plenty of onsite activities but only a 10 minute drive from Galena if you want to go into town.

We arrived around 9pm local time and the front desk had our reservation ready and quickly signed us in. They provided directions to our condo and even provided some instructions on how to light the fire place. Staff, location and experience were fantastic. We'll be going back again.

I would stay at this place again in a heartbeat. My room was very clean and spacious; with a fantastic view! The hotel staff was friendly and professional. The spa was great--again the staff was professional, nice and my massage was great. There was a small cafe and a beautiful restaurant, an indoor pool and a wonderful lounge. Everything was perfect and the surroundings were absolutely beautiful. I travel alot and have been in many a hotel across the US--this is next to the best and I will be visiting again.

Staff from the front desk, the gift shop and the restuarants were helpful, friendly and went out of their way to help. It's obvious that Eagle Ridge spends a lot of time doing customer service training and hiring the right staff.

We used all the hotels ammenities. Sauna and steam room were great, small but fit 4 of us comfortably. They offer lots of things to use free of charge (with reservations) we used bikes, paddleboats, and they offer shuttle service all around the resort. Also went horse back riding, which was great and on the resort.

Nice place to stay if your getting some time away from the kids. Stuff was super friendly, we really enjoyed ourselves

The overall experience was a bit better than average, though the terrain surrounding the resort is beautiful whether winter or summer. I went on a ladies getaway but was somewhat put off by the noise level in the pool area but that was due to the amount of kids that were there that weekend. I guess its hard to minimize noise acoustically when it is an indoor pool. Another matter and one easily cured is their steam rooms, both by the pool as well as the one in the spa area, is the lack of eucalyptus or some other type of soothing smell in these rooms, in fact it smelled a bit of Body Odor, big turnoff. We were looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub and was told that it had since been taken out, though they did say they were looking to build one off the patio sometime in the future.I imagined the resort would be much like the Abbey in Wisconsin. Since I was comparing, I would say the dining and exercise room was better at the Eagle Ridger Resort, the proximity to the town and Spa are better at the Abbey. Unlike the Abbey the rooms are not attached to the main part of the building. [...] I would definetly go back[...].
