Cheap and friendly atmosphere for business trip. The condition is very nice . The price is very reasonable in comparison with the service . The hotel is around 10 km from Frankfurt am Main international airport.
In Frankfurt for the Automechanika show Very large event - consequently hotels are busy and they all treble their prices Thus, I thought we'd done well to find a hotel for 240 euros a night, albeit some distance from the city centre Upon arrival we discovered why - the hotel is currently a building site All of the corridors have new exposed wiring mid installation, no carpets etc - I honestly could believe it when I stepped out of the lift The bathrooms look new but the rooms are still old and very very hot - currently no a/c We didn't stay - we will let our business travel agency sort the monies out I feel a little bad for writing such a negative review as clearly they are trying to improve the place but they should make it clear that they have major renovations underway and also that it is going to be do stiflingly hot
I stayed at this property for 2 nights while working in the Frankfort/Offenbach area for business. PRO’s • Friendly staff • Nice quiet town away from congestion of Frankfort, yet an easy commute • Decent beds with good pillows • Very good price CON’s • Add 8 Euro per day for parking • Add 7.50 Euro per day for slow internet connection. Charge is PER device. • Add 10 Euro per day for breakfast, which is good but has limited choices • Rooms are somewhat small but efficient • Hotel is dated and is undergoing much needed renovations Overall this is a good property at a good price that will be even better after renovations. Overall I would give it a 82/100 and may stay here in the future, after looking at other choices.
Offenbach is a quiet town. Since we had to attend a fair at Frankfurt, thelocation is great and transportation is easy from Offenbach to Frankfurt and back. Great location which is just a stone away to the train station. The train station is not busy as in bigger town. One or two staffs are helpful while some are hard to approach. The room we had was a very spacious enough for 3 person. However, the pillow and bed are too soft and not so comfortable. Wifi is free for 30 mins usage.
I see a number of the reviews are a little on the negative side for this property ...... it is fine, basic, but with friendly staff that did all they could to assist and with an excellent breakfast. Yes the rooms are small, yes they have no AC (they have heating), yes the hotel is over decorated for my tastes but I tell you what ...... I felt at home, I felt I got value for money, and overall a pleasant stay. A value proposition stay.
If you travel to Offenbach for a fair this hotel is ideally situated at 10 min by foot from the Fair on the same street. Offenbach is not really a sexy city 😃 and this hotel is not sexy too. Overdecorated in a style that I forgot it had existed, the rooms are small and practical. But no insonorisation so you can hear your neighbours... The dining room is the extreme in bad taste.. But good breakfast as often in Germany. Wi fi is not free and you pay 7 euros a day by device which is really stealing people... If you know that two wifi codes on 3 were not working... Staff is like the hotel: getting very old :)
Off the beaten path to say the least. No a/c just open the window and let the traffic lull you to sleep. Should be about $25 dollars a night. $35 euros to airport. Best description...funky. If you can find something else I suggest you do. Very little English spoken by anyone in this neck of the woods,
We were supposed to stay there 2 nights starting from August 1st 2014, in two non-smoking single rooms. We however shortened our stay there and spent the second night at ACHAT Plaza hotel (which by the way is A VERY GOOD HOTEL) for the reasons below. Upon arrival, we were immediately asked for full payment. We refused and said we'd pay at the check-out. Staff at the reception was ok with that. (Since we are probably not the first guest to leave before the planed end of the stay, I guess staff was taught to ask for anticipated payment). Anyway, we were given rooms 312 and 314, on the third floor (with elevator... But frankly one wonders how this old and probably not revised for ages elevator still works. Lucky we didn't got stuck in there). Rooms were small and rather dark but still clean. Light in room 312 didn't work properly and the terrace had probably never been swept in the last weeks. Room 314 came with no towels at all in the bathroom and an alarm clock, apparently set by someone on 2.30 AM (was that a stupid joke from a previous guest? Or a staff member? Who knows...), which started ringing like hell in the room in the middle of the night (and could also be heard from neighbouring room 312). Both rooms had terrible -cheap!- mattresses (the soft kind that makes you feel like you are trying to sleep on a chewing gum trampoline) and no aircon. Room 312 was probably a smoking room not so long ago as the cigarette smell could still be noticed. Same for room 314, where that smell was however a bit covered by some sort of parfume. The first and only night we spent there was horrible. As I said above, the beds were very uncomfortable and the heat in there forced us to open the windows. But the neighbours made such noise until 2 AM, that it was impossible to fall asleep. And once we finally could sleep, the alarm clock woke us up. In the morning, we asked to drink our coffee on the first floor, outside on the terrace. Chairs were not set (we hat to take them ourselves from where they were stored and also clean them cause they were dirty). In addition to that, no table was available so we had to use a chair to put our coffees on it. We decided to leave the hotel when coming back in the evening of the second day we noticed that the neighbours were up for a new party on their balcony with music, loud conversations and smoke for the whole night. We asked to change rooms, but were told that no other non smoking room was available. We than explained everything that had gone wrong in the hotel since our arrival and said that we would just leave for a better place. Except from offering us the coffees we had drunk in the morning (6€), we received no discount and still had to pay for the second night, although we didn't spend the it over there. In a nutshell, just AVOID this hotel if you look for a nice stay. There are plenty of much better places to go to. Less noisy, less old, less stinky, more comfortable, better service, better organisation, better quality for price.
Helpful and kind receptionists are waiting for the guests. It was sometimes a bit noisy because of the near by hospital and airport. But the noise was acceptable. Useful accessories in the rooms. Really clean rooms and bathrooms. That's exactly what we expected for our money. Good place to stay here for some days. Public transport is nearby to go to Frankfurt by S-Bahn.
Front desk assistance and friendliness very average with insufficient guidance and info regarding transport in and out of Offenbach. Information about the general environment or hints about getting around the area not forthcoming.
