After the hustle of Venice this quieter location made for a lively change. However, we were still within walking distance of the main city Centre including ponte vecchio and palazzo vecchio. The room had all the necessary furnishings with little else however what set this apart from our previous accommodation in Venice was the much improved service of their reception staff. The main draw card however was definitely the location. With a beautiful church next door which acted as a great landmark to find our way back plus facing directly towards the Arno river this was a fantastic stop on our Italian tour and I would recommend it to anyone passing through Florence who likes accessibility to the main city Centre while still getting some beautiful Italian scenery.

We stayed here 3 nights in July. We booked a superior room which was vey large for euorpean standards. The room was simple the bed was just ok and the pillows were flat so we asked for two more. The room had a safe which was important to us. They offered a simple breakfast (fruit, cereal, breads, cheese & meat) which I really enjoyed but if you are a foodie you might expect more. They made you your own carafe of coffee and it OUTSTANDING! The fridge in our room didn't work very well (not cold) but we didn't need it and there is no access to ice or an iron at this hotel. We had to carry our luggage up 10+ stairs as there is no lift but we had help with carrying in down when we left. The hotel was very clean and even though our room faced the Arno River and the street we did not hear any noise. The owners are very nice and did their best to accomodate even the smallest of requests.

The hotel is on bank of river Arno. The room is spacious, but you can hear neighbors. This is the only minus of the hotel. The furniture is comfortable and looks vintage. Bathroom is modern an very clean. The breakfast is standard. All attractions are walking distance. The staff is helpful. We had a delightful stay. Hope to come again!

We enjoyed our 3 night stay here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is good and the price fair. Very clean. Some things that would make this hotel better - coffee makers in the room, new bedspreads, refrigerators that actually cool, and quieter air conditioners; but overall we were happy. Breakfast is €7 per person and city tax €3.5 extra per day per person cash only.

Best choice for price, location and comfort. Do not think others. The breakfast was really adequate. The only thing that should be considered is the wi-fi connection problem in the rooms. You should be in the lobby in order to use the internet. Additionally, there is a common carpark with a price per day.

The Hotel was central to the area I wanted to shop, the weekly Market, the local shops, and restaurants all within easy reach. The Hotel staff were very nice and made you feel very welcome, my bedroom was clean & had a very large double bed, not two singles put together like some hotels and very high ceilings but the most wonderful thing about my room was the shower it was powerful and very hot, bliss, Room service was available which was a little unusual but welcome they made a brilliant coffee with milk, hit just the right spot after a day of early Christmas shopping. Only down side was the steps to get into the hotel, not sure what I would have done if I hadn't been given help with luggage by the concierge too many stairs to climb without some help, I did say I had been shopping!!!!! there was a disability chair lift running up the stairs but it was covered up and did not appear to be working. I cannot comment on breakfast as I stayed on a room only basis, but if the coffee was any indication then I'm sure it was good.

This is a small family run hotel clean and simply furnished and just perfect for a long weekend. Walking distance to everything but away from the noise and hubbub of the city. Breakfast was not included but well worth the extra. We found several good restaurants in the back streets near here. Very much recommended

Hated it from the moment I saw this place outside. Looks like a one star hotel. No elevator, so prepare to carry your bags to the second floor, where reception is. Check out is at 10am unbelievably early, traveled a lot in life,, but first time experienced early check out. Not a single iron at the hotel, which is also weird. No normal glasses in the room, just plastic cups. Furniture is very old, bedding is not comfortable. I guess it's ok for personnel raise their voices and scream at the guest. It was a misunderstanding and the guy didn't even let me finish the sentence and kept screaming at me. It was very shocking to me, I have never had something like this. I was alone and a young girl, maybe he thought it's ok to scream at single girl. Definitely not a behavior of a man.

Arrived there in mid-June with my daughter, to meet with my youngest who was studying abroad there. We arrived by train and crossed the bridge over the Arno river. It was exactly the experience I wanted. I didn't want to be in a swanky hotel. I wanted to experience Italy simply. Florence was like walking in a history book. The staff at the hotel were so sweet. Our room was so tuscan I teared up. The simple breakfasts were satisfying. I loved the meats, tarts & delicious coffee. There is a very old Church next door built in the 16th. century I believe. I loved seeing the locals roofs & laundry from my bedroom window. I got what I went for. Sign up with a tour group and do the hike in the beautiiful Tuscan hillside. Excellent lunch which I didn't expect. So many wonderful memories of Florence. Would stay there again. Theres no elevator which didn't bother me at all. You walk everywhere! Excellent price too.

We really enjoyed our stay here. This was a small hotel across the river from the min city, but only ten minute walk from the city. So much quieter and reasonably priced. Rooms were quaint - ours has a vaulted ceiling and traditional furniture. Good breakfast and friendly staff.
