I loved the charming, beautiful and fun staff members. It's been a blast. The room is large, the living room is cozy and the terrace was the cherry on the cake. I will certainly come back. The staff was tremendously helpful and nice.

We just departed after 5 wonderful days. Before writing this review, I read the others and they pretty much covered it! What a relief from the craziness of central Firenze! As soon as you get one block away from the Arno, the crowds disappear and you feel like a Florentine! A couple more blocks and you release a big sigh as you open the gate! You’re home at last! Have your wine on the terrace overlooking that outstanding garden...while you recount how lucky you are to be staying here! Diana, Guida, and Anastasia are as wonderful as everyone is saying. You CAN stay at a large commercial hotel anywhere, but Ad Astra is special!

What a wonderful stay! Our room at the AdAstra was spacious and beautifully decorated. We were welcomed with prosecco and wandered out to the terrace to take in the view of the garden. Incredible!! The photos do not do it justice. Additionally, the hotel is located in Oltrarno, a trendy neighborhood on the south side of the Arno. It's a great way to escape the chaos of Firenze for a midday siesta, and the neighborhood itself is a fun place to explore in the evenings. Plus, you're only a 10 min or less walk from the Ponte Vecchio. Stay at the AdAstra the next time you're in Firenze!

We stayed there for 2 nights and really loved it. The district is perfect, fantastic restaurants nearby not too many tourists but still close from the main sites to visit. The staff was super nice and breakfast was good too. The view over the garden is quite unique and we enjoyed a lot the terrace after busy afternoon walking in the center.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ad Astra in Florence. A unique venue. We particularly enjoyed having breakfast and snacks on the patios over the amazing gardens. Our room was eclectic and engaging. The staff was more than helpful. Giada and Kasia were particularly helpful and friendly. We heartily recommend the Ad Astra.

My partner and I stayed for 3 nights at the Ad Astra in June 2019. We splurged on a King Balcony room and it was well worth it. Bed was comfortable, shower pressure fantastic, towels soft and plentiful. But beyond the creature comforts, what makes the Ad Astra truly special is its architecture and ambience. High ceilings, gorgeous doors, unique decor, and many others have already mentioned the beautiful gardens. The balcony that overlooked them was great to sit out in the evenings with a glass of wine. The location is fabulous, too -- lots of amazing places nearby to eat and hang out, and a short walk to the main sights. The staff were really helpful with recommendations and reservations. We would definitely stay again and would love to try their other properties too!

This is such a lovely and truly unique spot. The garden is traditionally stunning and the style and attention to detail in the hotel very high. It’s managed by completely charming people. A special mention to Diana and Giada who are the best hostesses I’ve ever met. Kind, thoughtful and helpful they are gems.

This hotel, with only 7 rooms, was highly recommended by friends in Florence. The terrace room overlooking Florence's largest private garden is the most relaxing and energizing haven. Diana masterminded all my travel arrangements with her understated effortless Florentine elegance. No request was beyond her. I would return tomorrow and enjoy the experience even more.

this is a wonderful hotel. The rooms are extremely comfortable and quiet. The bathroom is well appointed. breakfast is good but a hot option wuold be a welcome addition. The staff is professional , friendly and helpful. The patio is a major plus.We loved staying in the Oltrano. Walking distance to some sites is a bit long ( i.e. Santa Marco and Santa Croce ) particularly in the rain.

I absolutely loved this villa turned B&B. The property has been in the family for 500 years and the gardens( largest private gardens within the city limits of any city in Europe) were superb. The food was excellent, service outstanding. One morning the host gave me directions for her favorite view of Florence. It was stunning. Each room has a soaking tub and I fully utilized mine for every night. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Florence.
