Outstanding small hotel set within Europe’s largest privately-owned gardens. Our cottage room was so quiet, with a comfy bed, large bathroom and cozy reading nook. Being in the Oltarno neighborhood was cool - more residential/artisanal/“real,” but just a short walk from the Ponte Vecchio and across to the museums. The staff at Ad Astra were helpful with restaurant ideas and reservations, plus arranging a taxi to the airport. We loved the extensive breakfast buffet and eating in the terrace.

Quite possibly the most kind and gracious hosts ever

This hotel was a terrific find. The rooms are huge, clean, comfortable and uniquely decorated. It's extremely secure and has an amazing view. It's on the opposite side of the river from most of the major tourist spots but nothing is more than a 20 minute walk. Would definitely stay here again.
