The room was spacious and adequate for four people. Staff was amicable and room was overall clean. Location was very central and we walked to the Duomo in ten minutes. One unexpected issue was that it was tricky to get to the hotel by car due to the restricted zones you aren’t allowed to drive into. And, once you get to the hotel, it turns out that parking is located at another hotel. Not far (maybe two blocks away) but, again, tricky to get to and would have been nice to know from the get-go. Also, during the second/last night the A/C broke. E think it was something to do with the fan as it started banging so loudly that all four of us woke up around 2:15 or so. We had to turn it off completely (hello stuffiness and heat) and for the next hour it continued to make noises every two or so minutes. I didn’t go back to sleep until 5:45am…. With a 6:15am wake, that was really inconvenient. Probably nobody’s fault, but very unfortunate. Interestingly, my SIL told me later that their fan didn’t work either…she stayed in the same hotel.

The hundreds-years-old building is tired—in need of sprucing up. But our 2 rooms were fantastic! 4 stars for the stylish, spacious and super clean rooms. Easy walk to everything too. We’d definitely stay here again.

This hotel is tired! When you enter off the street it feels dirty, although our room was clean. I would not recommend this hotel, since it is expensive for the quality and condition of the building.

Not sure why it's only rated as a 2 star. We stayed for 1 night with 2 rooms. It was very comfortable and super clean. Our rooms were very large, had a fridge, desk, etc. I would have no concern staying there again!

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful with guidance. Being able to stow our luggage was a big help for our last day. The only changes I would suggest are, Have a light handy for the stairs at night. A fan to move the air better in the loft area.(from some one used to sleeping with a fan)

I was shocked the minute I entered the room, the room is really small and outdated .. it is really highly priced for it’s condition, the fan grill in the washroom was super disgusting the towel dryer was rusted , outlets were loose so you had to actually support the sockets to keep charging…

Our stay at the hotel was very nice. We had a quadruple room and it was large and comfortable. The hotel is close to the train station which is nice if you are traveling by train. The hotel is located a few blocks away from the extremely touristic areas of town, which was nice. However, there are several restaurants and shops close by. I would definitely stay there again
