Amazing staff, everyone was super nice and accommodating. Great location and nice comfortable room.

Great location. Very friendly service. Lower floor rooms were a bit noisy. Rooms are all fairly small. Enjoyed the complimentary happy hour. Breakfast was outstanding.

I absolutely love Hotel Porta Rossa! The hotel itself is quiet, beautiful, restful, well-located, and it seems that every traveler's need has been thought of - the staff was courteous, efficient and friendly - the breakfast service superb...it is now my favorite hotel in Florence! I would say Porta Rossa is the perfect blend between modern efficiency and comfort and historic elegance.

Spent 3 nights in Florence at this wonderful hotel on Via Ponta Rossa minutes from the Ponte Vecchio bridge, high end shops and restaurants, and the Uffizi Gallery. We took a highly recommended day trip to the Tuscany towns of Siena, San Gmignano and Pisa. Beds were very comfortable and clean, with beautiful linens and many pillows. Bathroom was very clean and had a lovely shower. Did not dine at the hotel so I can't talk about that but would definitely return here next time to Florence

I was a fan of NH and thus I booked it and am so glad I did! Great hotel in great location. It has a rustic feel when you come in but rooms are very modern with all the comfort you need. Cant forget about staff, very friendly and helpful. NH all the way!

Really great hotel. Old building totally remodeled but kept the escence of old florence. Great location. Just i think that the staff was great but insificient, specially at front desk and concierge.

Truly a gem. Exquisite building, design, and perfect location. Big rooms, modern and new furniture.

We found the hotel to be very nice, convenient relationship with Parking, great free breakfast, nice attentive and helpful service. Our issues were that 1) we were on the 1st floor and could hear people on the street level late at night, 2) the room smelled bad every time we came into it (but got used to it quickly). The bed was very comfortable, and I'd probably stay here again on a higher floor and switch rooms if the smell was still bad.

Our room at the NH Porta Rossa was absolutely enormous, with fifteen foot ceilings and loads of room. I cannot begin to tell you how helpful the staff was, helping us with everything from directions to major sites, to how to work the Internet, to calling us a cab to take us to the airport. The location of the NH Porta Rossa is just perfect, literally ten minutes walk to the Domo, to Ponte Vecchio, and to the Main Square. It could not have been more convenient. The breakfast that come with our room was truly a banquet, one of the best breakfasts I have ever experienced. The hotel was wonderful, the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed our stay immensely.

Locataion was perfect for us; Staff was pleasant but not very engagaing; relatively quiet although a sanitation truck was very loud one evening and woke us; we missed having an iron in the room and had to send out for pressing; broad and fresh breakfast assortment with hot options (eggs and bagon); know the numbering system for Florence addresses when locating the hotel - residents including hotels are in red with businesses in black.

This was one of the best hotels we've stayed at in Italy. I have to say the shower was fantastic and the staff was extremely helpful. The perfect location didn't hurt either...

We had a wonderful stay for 4 nights during our honeymoon in Italy. We stayed at some pretty nice places throughout our trip, but this was by far our favorite! The location is perfect- very central to most everything, but located on a relatively quiet section of the street. The room was very clean and pretty spacious (especially for european standards). One thing worth mentioning is the beds in Italy tend to be on the hard/firm side, and it took us some getting adjusted to--not the case with NH Porta Rossa--finally a comfortable bed! The staff was knowledgeable, professional, and INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful- particularly Minea and Andreas. They booked our Uffizi gallery tickets, made several dinner reservations for us, etc. Also, I emailed them a week before our arrival to let them know I am allergic to down feathers and they made sure the room was feather free (sounds simple enough, but was not done at other expensive hotels!) They also gave us a complimentary upgrade for our honeymoon from a superior room to a deluxe room, which was an added bonus. Huge selection at breakfast, which was pretty good. There is also free wi-fi in the lobby sitting area - would've been nice to have in the room, but not really a big deal. All, in all, we HIGHLY recommend this hotel, and would definitely stay here if we go back!

The hotel is very near of all the interest points. You can be in 5 min at the Ponte Veccio, in 8 min at The Duomo.
