I stayed here in 2015 and again this year 2017. It's a little gem not far from all the action. I'd say about 6 blocks from the Duomo. I love the grass root art. The owner was very nice. It's very clean and welcoming. This will also be my stay next time I come.

Until my last day in this hotel everything was ok. The view from the terrace was amaizing, the breakfast was okeish but this is not the reason why i am writing this review. In the last day of our stay, in the day we had our flight, i didn't find my wallet with all my documents and money inside. Lucky me i had my passport with my boyfriend. I told the people from the reception but they told me maybe i misplaced it but that was impossible! The night before as we came into the room i took money from my wallet and let it on the table . We just left the room to go to our parent's room for an hour and came back to sleep. The next morning after breakfast when we were making our luggages i realised my wallet was missing! So an advice for everyone don't leave your wallet even though is in your own room!

If you are looking for clean and convenient then this place is not for you. We had a group staying and we were all separated onto different floors which would have been ok but it was like a maze of different halls and levels. The beds were the most uncomfortable I have stayed in and the décor dated and not that clean. The bedspread looked threadbare and as if it had been through the washer way too many times. It could do with a good overhaul to make it better and the "art" was also questionable. The breakfast was average but once again had a magnificent view to make up for it. With one lift that fitted about two people in it and rooms being up several flights, this place is suitable only for the fit. If you have a room beyond the lift limits then you will be dragging your bag up a long way. The only saving grace for this place was the terrace with a view over the city and Duomo. If you could pitch a tent on the terrace then this would have been better than staying in the rooms. I have a feeling that if you are going for the price then maybe a youth hostel might be a good alternative. The walk to the centre was ok but there are many more alternatives with facilities nearby closer to all the sites and activities Florence has to offer.

The Panorama Hotel is in a reasonable location a few minutes' walk from the Galleria dell'Accademia where Michelangelo's statue of David is housed, and about 15-20 minutes' walk from the Duomo in the heart of Florence. It bills itself as an art hotel, but we found the art to be, well, a little odd -- my children described it as the kind of art you see on the walls of children's hospitals. Overall, we found the hotel to have some really delightful features mixed with some serious flaws. The good: The rooms are large and are kept very clean, the bathrooms are small but nicely done with great water pressure in the shower, the staff are very welcoming and helpful, there is a pleasant little bar/kitchen area next to reception where you can sit and get a hot or cold drink at any time, and there are beautiful views of Florence from the breakfast room and from the rooftop terrace on the fourth floor. The less good: The furnishings in the rooms are really cheap/old, with uncomfortable, hospital-like beds on slats that kept falling to the floor, electricity sockets hanging out of the wall, and a small fridge that leaked water onto the floor in our room. Also the hot water in the showers was a little unreliable and failed entirely one day, preventing us and other guests from showering. Breakfasts were also very meager and unvarying (although it was still very pleasant to sit in the breakfast room with its lovely view). Also, we asked for two quiet rooms next to each other, but ended up receiving two rooms some distance down the corridor from each other, and while one of them was quiet, the other was right on Cavour Street and was not. Finally, like many hotels in Europe, they do not have their air conditioning set on cold until well into the summer, and as it was already quite warm when we were there (April) and we couldn't open the windows because of the noise from the street, we had some hot and uncomfortable nights.

This is a little gem of a hotel about 15 mins walk from the centre of Florence. We didn't expect much but we were wrong. The decor is art inspired and has a quirky feel. It's evident that the hotel is eco friendly and encourages recycling. The rooms are a decent size with a tiny but functional bathroom cleaned everyday. The breakfast/coffee wasn't the best but I made do with toast. The breakfast room did make up for it though with its views. The best feature of this hotel was the rooftop terrace with breathtaking views of florence. There's also a cute little sitting room which has a cosy look and feel. There is also a cute little bar should you wish to use it. The hotel is near lots of shops/eating places and the museum housing the statue of David. Of course don't miss the popular sites of florence like the duomo, palace and ponte vecchio, these are breath taking. This is a wonderful city with lots to see and do and the Panorama hotel is a great base to do it from.

Initially booked this hotel due to it's reasonable price. Booked a single and was upgraded to double room on arrival which had lovely view of the Duomo. Hotel was clean and staff really helpful and friendly. Loved the decoration and friendly feel to the hotel, room was compact but had everything you could need. Terrace upstairs had great views of the city and small bar area was available downstairs. Location: is on the edge of the central/tourist area, but right next to the gallery with Michelangelo's David and only 7 min to the Duomo and about 15 to the river/ponte vechio/Uffizi. I thought the location was great, plenty of nice restaurants just a short walk too. Really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend to others.

Beautifully decorated with unique art. Rooms were good sized. Bathroom was small. Very clean hotel. Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful breakfast room (and good food). Beautiful rooftop terrace with view of Florence Cathedral. Recommend and would stay again.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. You can walk to the major tourist spots without taking any public transport. The bed is comfortable and the room is clean. The staff are also very nice. The bad thing about the hotel is its poor sound insulation. We can hear people walking in the upper floor in the morning. Beside, there are artworks hanging in each room. However, the artworks inside the room that we were staying is a bit scary. With people holding knife. It will be better if the topics of the artworks can be switched. But I will definitely stay here next time I visit Florence.

I booked this hotel (as a solo female conscious of my budget) based on the trip advisor reviews and the hotel's claims that it was in the centre of Florence. I also booked it as it was one of the most reasonably priced in an expensive city. My stay wasn't terrible but I don't think I would stay again. My first complaint is the staff - all the women I encountered were rude and cold on my arrival and departure, and I felt really unwelcome there. For a hotel that says it prides itself on its costumer service I was really, really disappointed. The room itself was ok, bed was a double but wasn't overly comfy, however the room was clean enough and was cleaned daily. The bathroom was small and the shower head was all blocked and it sprayed water all over the floor. While the room was comfortable enough it was dated and falling apart a little (especially the bathroom), as was the whole building. The included breakfast was great, with a beautiful view over Italy and a great selection of food and a coffee machine. I also wouldn't agree that the hotel is in the 'heart of the city' - I agree you can walk to quite a few things (across the city 30ish mins and train station at least 20), which is great if you like to walk, if not book somewhere closer. Average stay, there's definitely much better three star hotels - book somewhere else.

We went to Florence by car and need to park. The recepcionist told us that we were fined only because we stoped near the hotel to take the luggage from the van... then he told us they work with a garagge and wanted to charge us 35€ per day for parking. We did not know were the garage was...he told us...someone would pick the car and return the car two days later...(imagine what they could do with the car!!!). I insisted in asking if there was no cheaper way to park in Florence and the guy assured me that it was impossible, he told me the charges per day were 50€ anywhere in the city...and that the fine that we had was only "removed" if we decided to leave the van in the garage with whom they work...We started to find all that very weird...and i told him i would go to the police to confirm if we had really a fine only because we stopped to take the luggage from the car!!! I requested a paper confirming that we were staying at that hotel and went to the police, wich, by the way is a 10 minuts walking distance from the hotel. In the Police station we explained what was happening at the Hotel and the policeman told us that it seemed like the hotel recepcionist was trying to take advantage from us!!! He told us to go to the park "Parterre" and confirm the prices per day...Parterre park is a 10 minuts walking distance from the Hotel and guess what....much cheaper than the 50€ or 35€ the recepcionist told us we had to pay!!!! We parked for 10€ per day!!!! Two days parking in Florence was 20€ and not 70€ has he wanted us to pay in the garage he suggested.....This is very serious, they "steal" tourists with this scheme of parking in a garage instead of giving the correct information to tourists!!!And they have internet...if they go to Parterre park....they can inform very well that there (at Parterre) parking is cheaper and really close to their Hotel!!!! And the Policeman told us we could "open" a investigation if we wanted complain in a written way, but we did not want to loose more time with such dishonest was once in life and never more! and thank god we were clever enough to investigate and find a cheaper place to park!!!
