Friendly efficient helpful staff! Comfortable room, delicious breakfast and great service. Well located to Firenze Train and beautiful Italian churches, Museums and Galleries. Staff most helpful with advice about walking to Duomo, Academia, Uffitzi, Ponte Vecchio, buses or trains to Fiesole to enjoy the view over Florence and the Etruscan, Roman ruins and Museum. Even with intermittent light rain and bursts of sun, the city and surrounds were breathtaking .. Reception team and Manager most helpful with directions to recommended local restaurants and trattoria! Delicious Tuscan food, wine, beer!
You will see from photo the room is very small but very very small and very old building I never come again here never in my life they bad passibiled to change my room but they didn't I told them I am sick I can't sleep in so small room they said first I have to pay if I want to change but after they said they don't have room
We spent 2night here and we're not impressed. The rooms are basic and might need a refresher. Also some info on how the TV works might help. Anyways. We were lucky to have a room on the 3rd floor with a little terrace in front of the room door, we thought. But only to find out, that with the door being outside we could clearly hear the garbage being collected at 5 something in the morning. A loud noise for a while. As there are 5 or 6 of these big in the ground garbage collectors being emptied. It took some time, it felt like hours. Window closed. Door closed. Still no sleep at that time and most of the noise came through the door... The breakfast buffet is not bad. Has the essential needed and is continously replenished. Location is great for a city trip, just minutes from public transport or the old city center with the historic monuments... We still enjoyed our stay. Staff is friendly and quickly recognised us for the keys... Yes They still have keys...
I stayed in this hotel for 11 nights. The first night (room 402) was not good for me. Very quiet but only a small window and a skylight. For longer stays, not acceptable. So, I requested a change and I got room 315, third floor, facing the street. ALthough some noise is perceived, not enough to disturb sleeping in my experience. Ear plugs are advisable. The location is superb, walking distance from many monumnets and bus/train station 7 minutes away. The hotel is very clean and breakfast is excellent with eggs, varied pastry, breads, cereals, coffee, chocolate,..The staff is superior, with a dynamic and energetic manager and all the staff committed, Valeria, Sana, Rossella and many others... I recommend this hotel without any doubt
We (my husband and I) stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The first evening when we arrived, the lady at the reception was very friendly. The check-in went very smooth. The reception looked fancy and shiny so I was very excited to see our room. Our room (15) was located at the end of the hallway on the ground floor. The room was spacious enough for 2 people. Nothing as fancy as the reception. It was an old room and the walls could use a bit of fresh paint. But it's for sleeping, so no biggy. The bed was 2 beds pushed together. The sheets were clean, but the blanket on top was old and rough. The bathroom was simple and very clean with towels and small shower gels/shampoo/soap. Really old shower head which seemed a bit broken. When someone in another room flushed the toilet you could hear the water flushing which was a bit annoying. There was a big window in the room which gave to the street. There was a curtain but the light couldn't be blocked out completely. But the noise from outside was a whole other story. We did not sleep that night. It was as if the whole street was standing right there in our room. It was horrible. The noise didn't stop until 3 am and delivery guys parked just in front of the window and started unloading the truck at 6 am. I checked the (automatic) window again in the morning. It was closed but it seemed to me it couldn't close entirely at the top. It must have been broken. The next morning we asked for a room change and fortunately, it was possible, without any fuss. We left in the morning and when we came back in the afternoon, our room was ready. They moved us to the first floor, a room at the back of the building (105). Besides the elevator and a continuous water pump, there wasn't a lot of sound compared to the previous night. Breakfast was served between 7am and 10am. It was a buffet with a lot of choice. Several kinds of meat, cheese, bread, fruit, croissants, juice, yoghurt and cereal. The coffee however was awful. It had a burnt taste to it. We just got some coffee outside the hotel. The wifi was really bad. It was worse on the first floor than on the ground floor. Conclusion: despite the room change and the friendly staff, this hotel was a no for us.
We arrived late because the sister hotel we had booked was full, so we were taxied back downtown to this hotel. Our first room was street level and we asked for a balcony room, and presto we got a second floor room with balcony. It's Italian size but all amenities are present. Open the shuttered doors and you are on the balcony with a decent view of the street, and the bridge. The ac worked fine for us , sometimes too cold and controls are awkward. Very clean room and hotel. Staff most accommodating and pleasant, language not an issue. Breakfast was great and best coffee of all hotels, not machine made, and best of all they always have a pot available all day along with pastries...nice touch. Location is superb , restaurants and shops all around, walking distance to tourist sites, and short walk to train station. I could not ask for better ...
Deceptive business practices at best. Room was stifling. Rooms without a.c. are 1/2 the price and the bar downstairs is quite loud with the window open. No refunds for the poor room. Reception pretends to not know there were a/c issues before you check in but read the prior reviews. Wi-Fi is working.
We spent good money on this room and we're constantly disappointed We complained daily about every different problem Our room was located next to the lift and we heard constant banging every time the lift stopped. The staff couldn't seem to care I would stay here ever
Noticed during 4 days: Located nearby the train station, Mercato centrale, old city & monuments, ... Friendly & helpful personnel ! Good varied breakfast from 7 to 10u. Very good wifi in the clean room.
Air conditioner in our room was not very effective....breakfast was not good ...items were over not refilled....awful smell on the 2nd floor after late evening.. V average hotel... location is the only gud point I can say...
