I stayed here one night and loved it overall. The relatively small hotel is located on a few floors of a grad old palazzo. The room had one of the coolest bathrooms I've seen in any hotel, and the decor was generally impressive. Very comfortable, clean, and soothing space, especially in the peak of summer. The hotel is in a very central but quiet location, steps from the Duomo. Not the cheapest option to be sure, but worth it if you're looking for a modern and relaxing atmosphere. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the buffet breakfast is above average. The only downside was the tiny crammed elevator and an overly elaborate and somewhat confusing system with codes to access the different floors and rooms, with old-fashioned keys that jammed in strange ways. Both another guest and I could not figure out the way to get into our respective rooms and had to call the night concierge, who was very nice about it. Still, when two people are having the same problem at the same time, it's evidence of.. a problem. Not a big deal, though. I would definitely stay here again!

This hotel was great, very accommodating, and close to the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio. We arrived around 12noon and hotel check-in wasn't until 3pm. There was a very clean spacious bathroom in the lobby where we were able to freshen up. We were able to lock our suitcases in a locker while we went to lunch and the front desk staff put in a request for our room to be cleaned next. We came back around 2pm and our room was ready and our luggage had been placed in the room already. The room was big and the bathroom was very spacious as well. Plenty of room to spread out. There was also a safe for our valuables. The hotel is only a couple of blocks to the Dumo, restaurants, and shops. We walked to the leather market and Ponte Vecchio easily. The breakfast in the morning was basic but great. It was just what we needed to start our day. Very pleased with this hotel, I will stay again!

Charming, modern and fresh. Breakfast is fantastic, with eggs or crepes and so much more. Staff helped us book tickets to a theater performance and gave spot-on advice on restaurants and museums. The location is truly central, and an easy trip from the airport or train station. The "Superior" room was spacious and comfortable, and the slippers were a nice touch.

The location is great. It's a very short walk to all major sights. Hotel was a perfectly average experience. The bed was comfortable but my room lacked basic things like cups. The breakfast offered many different options.

We stayed two nights in the second week of September : We walked from train station, it is so close well kept room great staff fast wi fi walking distance to all attractions, museum and academy would definitely recommend this hotel I'd definitely stay here

Excellent staff made the stay wonderful. The rooms were clean and quiet, despite the hotel being located in the heart of Florence. An excellent choice.

The hotel completely met our expectations. It could not be in a more convenient location, and the staff was extremely helpful.

This hotel is just thwo blocks form the Florence Duomo, but it is on a side street, that make it cozy and outside the noise and stress of the tourist. Beautifull lobby with a old meets new decoration done it a right way, with a complementary Aperitivo on the afternoon, Nice breakfast that you can order your eggs as you wish. The only bad thing is that if you are a light sleeper, do not get a ground floor room, there are street sweeper machines that go by the room window at 2 - 3 am. At first I Thought there were a storm outside, by the second night I figured it out that where the street cleaning sweeper. Thay may need sound proof windows.

First things first, this hotel's location is SUPERB. You truly can't beat it. The staff was friendly and the beds were actually pretty comfortable (due to their new mattresses). But, to our surprise, we weren't aware that the elevator they have fits basically one person. It was the smallest and scariest elevator I've ever been in. THEN, we get off the elevator and go through a maze to get to the end of a hallway to find out that we are required to go up at least 50 steps to get to the third floor (where our room was and several other rooms). We have been in Europe for weeks and have a lot of bags. I'm traveling with my 60 year old mother and I was appalled to find out that we had to carry our suitcases up all of those stairs! For the price, I wasn't pleased. What if we were traveling with someone in a wheel chair? When we got into our room, we were surprised (again) to find out that the room that we spent almost $1,000 on and was supposed to accommodate 3 people was actually quite small and reminded us all of a jail cell. It was disappointing. To their advantage, most rooms in Italy are like that but we weren't happy. The WiFi only worked in the lobby. The room had no working WiFi at all - we were told that it would work. The staff made up for a lot of this but we wouldn't stay there again.

We only stayed here for 2 nights. Was good location and room was very large for European standards! Great rooms and friendly staff!

Great hotel, located just steps off the DOMO in this beautiful city. The staff was great, very willing to help. The food was excellent and served in a sumptuous dining room, greatly attended by Maria and Myrna (that were so willing to cook special food at our request). We won't think twice to come back to enjoy this very placidly place.

We book this hotel and as soon as we arrive to the front desk the people there were amazing nice, the breakfast is really good and its just a few steps away from the Duomo that is amazing. the only little thing is that the hotel room was too really too warm, was around 26C outside was too cold and as soon as we get into the room we start sweating!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Centrale in late December of 2014. We got a really good deal on the price for one of the best rooms. Our room was the best we ever stayed in! It was so nice and clean and big! Te bathroom and the Jacuzzi inside it made the stay just so much better. The stuff was very nice. At the breakfast the ladies that were cooking omelets and making cappuccinos were kind and attentive and they made great cappuccinos! Overall, we highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay at the pleasant hotel with incredibly great location! Thanks to Hotel Centrale!

This hotel has: - a very good location, close to the train station and city centre - helpfull and kind staff - excellent breakfast Would recommend it to anybody

What a gem! After passing through the unassuming entrance, we were delighted with the decor and spacious atmosphere of this wonderful hotel. Our rooms were very clean and extremely comfortable. The staff of this privately owned hotel was most helpful in every way, particularly with providing us with a box breakfast one morning when we needed to leave on an excursion before the regular breakfast was served. The location was perfect, centrally located to just about everything. If we return to Florence we will most certainly stay at the Centrale Hotel Florence. We recommend it without reservation!

Very helpful English speaking staff. I was having trouble setting up my new cell phones and SIMS cards (instructions were in Italian) and they got me up and running. they also helped me figure out the European keyboard in the lobby so that I could check my e-mail. If you Google street view the address, don't let the small street and dull entrance way throw you off; it is a nice place and close walking distance to just about everywhere. Our room on the ground floor was very quiet. Stayed mid June 2014. - Highlands Ranch Colorado

We recently stayed here in Florence and I must say the staff was great! I was not too overly happy with the room as a whole ( mainly the bed ) due to the fact of other hotels we stayed at in Italy. But the breakfast was one of the better ones offered with our hotel stays. Don't get me wrong, it's a great place in a great location and the rooms are fine. Beds just need a little help and maybe offer pillow services. My wife's neck hurt every morning.

We enjoyed our stay here. Not only was our room comfortable and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. They had no problem storing our luggage the following day until our evening train out of Florence. We even stopped back periodically to add things to our luggage (from shopping) and use the restroom and were never treated with anything but kindness.

my family stayed here and said it was very average.

IT WAS GREAT EXCEPT IF YOU ARE TRAVELING WITH A SENION OR STEP CLIMBING PROBLEM THIS IS NOT A HOTEL FOR YOU. I BOOK A ROOM FOR 3 WITH MY 71 YEAR OLD MOM AND MY AUNT AND WE WERE ASSIGNED A THIRD FLOOR ROOM, BUT YOU HAVE TO CLIMB THE STAIRS, WE MANAGE AND FIND A SOLUTION WITH THE STAFF, THEY WERE VERY HELPFULL, BUT CALL AHEAD IF YOU DON'T WANT TO STAY IN THE THIRD FLOOR.
