We stayed in August 2017 and had a great 2 nights in this hotel. We are a family of 4, the room was spacious, breakfast was great, and Francesca at the front desk was so helpful. The location was great, and we were able to walk to the station with all our luggage. There are a lot of great restaurants around and the shopping was great! We are glad we found this hotel and highly recommend it!

Me & my partner stayed here for 2 nights. We flew into Pisa airport then got the train to Florence. This hotel is about a 10 min walk from the main train station. The hotel itself is a small, lovely, family run classic Italian hotel. The couple who run the hotel and very nice and very helpful, I cant thank them enough. The rooms are small but very nice, with AC & free wi-fi included. The breakfast is a selection of pastries, breads & meats with coffee as well. The hotel is just a 2-3 min walk from San Lorenzo market & Basilica, then only 2 more mins and you are in the main Piazza Del Duomo. Excellent location. Highly recommended hotel.

This hotel is very cute and quaint. It is a small hotel with all you need. It is in a great location. It is around the corner from Leather Market, Mercato Central which is an indoor food market downstairs. Upstairs is prepared food. We were a family of 4 people. Near the Train Station within 9 mins walk.

My wife and I recently took a trip to Italy. After clearing customs at the airport in Rome we took the fast train to Florence where we had booked a room at the Hotel Collodi. We had already received a very nice welcoming e-mail from Giovanni and Nadine. We arrived at the Santa Maria Novella station in the early afternoon and had an easy, short walk to the hotel. We were greeted by Giovanni and had a quick check in which gave us the rest of the afternoon to sight see. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of most major sights. Giovanni was helpful in providing directions and recommendations for places to eat. The hotel itself has a nice breakfast area with a traditional Italian breakfast of cheese, salami, pastries, fruit, yogurt and cappucino and espresso. Our room was very comfortable and roomy. An additional interesting fact was that the pen name of the author of Pinocchio was Collodi--who lived in the same block. The hotel was also very close to the big market in town and there were many vendors selling all kinds of products there. When we checked out, Giovanni cautioned me about Italian drivers since he knew we were renting a car. Overall we had a very delightful experience here.

This hotel was such a pleasant surprise! We booked it because of its ideal location — right by the San Lorenzo Market (fresh produce), the famed Trattoria Mario, the equally excellent (though pricier) Trattoria Za Zà, and a supermarket, not to mention a couple minutes' stroll to the town center — and were surprised by how clean and pretty our room was. Only the breakfast was lacking, with pre-packaged (non-fresh) biscuits and La Vache Qui Rit-style wrapped-in-foil cheese. Still, the reasonable rates and superb location make it a great choice, and I would definitely stay here again. After all, the room has a mini fridge and there's a fully stocked supermarket a few feet away and the town's farmer's market virtually across the street, so who cares if their breakfast isn't great, when you can craft your own to suit your taste and needs? Definitely recommended.

If you interested to feel the life of Florence than you are in a right place. The location is excellent. Every popular site in Florence is so close, Mercato Centrale (food) is just behind the hotel, Duomo, Ufizzi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio and everything else is 10 minutes by walk and not complicated to reach. You don't even need a map. Staff is very helpful and friendly. For families is good to know that reception works until 10 pm, but we haven't had any problems with that. There is grocery store just behind the hotel that works 7-24 and pharmacy is also very close. Breakfast is ok. Rooms are big, but need some renovation and deep cleaning.

Nice boutique hotel at an incredible price (we booked at last minute - a great find for us). Great location! We had the quadruple suite and my husband and I and our two adult children had plenty of space for one night. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise for us. All kinds of espresso and cappuccino from the self serve machine - it was actually really good! The front desk clerk (a young German woman) was just wonderful. The valet parking was really convenient (yes, we drove in the city center of Florence, crazy!). Definitely recommend!

Hotel Collodi Firenze is 10 minutes walk away from the train station. The room is simple and clean, with an extra single bed on the loft. There are plenty of spaces for luggages. The owner is very friendly and helpful. There is a nice Chinese restaurant right at the corner of the hotel. Florence city center is a 15 minutes walk away. I highly recomend this hotel.

A small and stylish hotel, beautifully decorated. The location is excellent, in the historic center near the railway station and the most important sites. The friendly staff at reception helped us with fast check-in. The room and bath were clean, we stayed in room 405, which has 1 comfy double bed downstairs and 2 single beds upstairs ( where was also the safe box). WiFi works very well as router is right in the room. The only minus that I can mention is the small breakfast room. There are only four tables and small place to move around tables to avoid disturbing others to get to the coffee and food stand. The breakfast is basic and same every morning but with quite good choices, especially croissants and coffee! I recommend this hotel and I would gladly come back at the earliest opportunity.

Hotel Collodi is a nice boutique hotel. Conveniently located near the San Lorenzo Market. Breakfast is great...with meat, cheese, good breads, coffee, etc. Walking distance to major attraction including the train station. Hotel staff are great!
