It’s close to the train station and the building is 100’s of years old - likely renovated in the 80’s the room was outdated in decor and had the smallest shower I’ve ever used. But! It was all clean, the bed was comfortable. The staff were nice and for the price and with as little time as we spent in the room this was perfect - in the summer they have a rooftop bar and although in the winter the bar is closed, you still have a wonderful view of the city. I’d stay here again for sure.
Hi, I am writing to request a refund of the hotel charge - I had a very bad experience during my one night stay at Hotel Machiavelli Palace hotel on September 4th. Firstly, the air conditioning was very loud and not sufficient to cool the entire room, my friend and I were having a hard time falling asleep. Around 2am, it got even louder and the noise managed to wake up my friend and I. I didn't sleep well and briefly woke up around 4 am to check my phone. It was horrific to find something crawling next to my pillow as my phone's backlight is turned on. It was a big bed bug - around the size of my pinky finger. I used a tissue paper to squeeze and kill it, and there were a pus of blood from the corpse. At that point I was fully awakened, disturbed and not able to sleep in that hotel again, despite I was very tired from all the travelling the day before. At 7 am I went to the front desk and spoke with the reception, the gentleman was polite, but was not able to speak proper English. I was told the manager - Mikkel, will be back at 9 am. I have made early appointment at the museum at 8:30 am, so I said I will catch up with him around noon before I leave for the airport. I also wrote Mikkel a note to state the incident. I was able to meet Mikkel at noon as planned, and he asked me to contact the booking agent (Orbitz) to initiate the refund process. He said he will approve it. Please let me know if further information is needed. Thanks, Queenie and Jackie
There is nothing to like!. Poor, old, terrible beds, there is only 1 thing good- location . If you are on the budget , very young and not planning to stay long , could work. Otherwise, better get AB&B.
Convenient location to train station and restaurants. Helpful staff, and nice breakfast included.
Single rooms are a bit too small. All else was great! Breakfasts were hearty and staff was accommodating. Well located. Well cared for.
Very close to the train station, Mercato Centrale, and all the must sees in the historical center. Superior room was very large, with a modern bathroom, and fast WiFi. Breakfast was typical but good.
This has become our economically but comfortable hotel o stay whenever we go to Florence. The room (225) is spacious and comfortable. Hotel provides a full breakfast and it is included in the price of the hotel. Staff is responsive and always ready to help. We asked for extra pillows at around 11:00 PM and in less than a minute they were brought to us. Also, the hotel is within walking distance to all Florence has to offer.
loved the hotel and location! Staff was helpful! Would stay again!
It was an affordable hotel near train station and domo.
I chose this hotel because of a quick 2 day trip to Florence and I didn't want to spend too much on my hotel stay. I got a comfortable room, decent size bathroom and not so bad breakfast for less than $75 per night. The hotel room was quiet, didn't hear any noises from the street. The only noise that I heard came from the cleaning staff: when they clean they drag the furniture and it can be heard in the hotel. When I spoke to management about it I think he spoke to the cleaning staff. The front desk was responsive and they even printed documents for me at no cost that I sent to them via email. I strongly recommend this hotel with the proviso that one can book the hotel at around $75 or less per night.
First time back in Florence in fifteen years. Went for work, research and, of course, pleasure. Great location and well worth the money. Room and bathroom a bit small (especially the shower), but spent most of my time taking in the sites, so it was more than adequate.
Great location and friendly staff. Aircondition could be better.

We chose this hotel because of its location in the middle of town, easy walking access to most of the great sights in Florence. However the rooms are cramped and there is no staff to help you with the luggage.
room is clean and comfortable at great location. very convenient.
Everything was fine, but the Breakfast was very poor
Nice hotel, clean, comfortable, quiet. Nice breakfast. Close to train. Not a bad walk to other attractions.
Great location and no frills added in the hotel. The rooms are very small.
We stayed in Florence for 4 days. It was a block away from the central market and a perfect location. It was also very clean.

Dear Madame/Sir, we apologize if we did not meet your expectation. This is a simple hotel but i may guarantee that, compared with B&B in the same area, we are better. But we understand that we can't please everyone. We hope You enjoyed our beloved town despite any inconvenient. After all, this counts. Regards
